Stamping experience at Philly
Lowell,
The stamping experience was quite dull (which is what we would all like). They just took our fingerprints of the forefinger alone, asked for 2 photos and made us sign a form below the fingerprint.
The passport was stamped with information that we are...
Me and My wife got our approval notice in the mail today. I was stunned, we have a March receipt date (11th).

Re: Its upto you
KMRao,
This is a forum for well-meaning people who are nothing but happy for any positive news that may come by. I am not sure why you gain by not sharing your information.
It will only help other people just as you were, I am sure, by other posts here. Ands the truth is...
travel
If you are travelling on AP ensure that you carry at least 2 extra copies (to be given to the Indian immigration and any transit).
Carry all docs to claim support of your status, continuation of work etc.
Otherwise no major issues just that the verification of the AP is done in a...
mortgage without green card
I know 1 person who got it while still on I140, so there should be no issue. You need to look for an appropriate lender I guess. I know a couple of others who had definitely not got a GC yet - so AOS should not be an issue
If this approval for the 485 or I140 (since current files don't have 140 approved yet) ? Their approval can start only after the I140 is approved. It is very unlikely that their approvals will start earlier than regular 485 approvals as they filed for 485 later.
This topic is not directly related to 485 but indirectly it certainly is. I see no harm if it is a separate thread with a clear title. 485 filers more than anyone else are more likely to be interested in this thread. And, frankly, it does not offend any particular set of folks so there is no...
Dardenkoa - I think you are right, it would be much more comforting if BCIS had even completed processing just all of November, and say first week of Dec; I have an RD of Mar 02, but I prefer a slow and steady approval pattern to a random one we are seeing.
Just because a few Jan approvals...
No sure if anyone responded yet :
Unless you are facing some deportation issues (which I am sure you are not) you should answer no. Only if INS thinks you have done something illegal you would be in that position.
I would suggest that you indicate that you want to have multiple entries...
Dec vs Nov
I am not sure what start of dec approvals really means. Nov approvals are hardly half way through and I am sure they will have to go on in parallel. It is puzzling how BCIS has posted the processing date as Dec 3rd.
Not sure if it matters what VSC says officially, we are seeing more approvals now than anytime in the past few months (Touch W).
Moreover I don't see how the date can change beyond Nov 15th since Dec processing has certainly not started.
analysis
I think your analysis is fair - probably a little cautious.
Even if only a small percentage update rupnet, if you look at the trend of the mails reporting approval they follow the pattern of the upates on Rupnet. What I mean is even if only 10% update rupnet they do so in the month...
India's Cricket turnaround
I think a lot of credit should go to the cricket fans, their demonstration that they will not accept shoddy performance was a major catalyst. A good fan is also one who can show his criticism when necessary.
Many of us are probably indifferent when our team does...
