Re: Got passports stamped on Nov 7th in SF
Last night, the INS case status service online message has changed for my wife and me to "Processing for your Alien Registration Card or Green Card has been completed. Your INS document will be mailed to you as soon as it is ready. "
I will let...
Got passports stamped on Nov 7th in SF
WAC #: 02-042
Approved on Oct 30th, 2002
Stamped at SF on Nov 7th
My experience was very similar to that of Fleure. In less than an hour we were done with the entire procedure.

there is
In theory you can obtain an AP document at your local INS office in case of emergency. Unfortunately the decision regarding the expedite processing of your AP request is at discretion of the INS office. I tried to obtain such document a while back in April at San Jose INS center...
could be a request for signature form
It happened to me with the first RFE. Even tho the signature form is not required, that's what I got my RFE for. I believe that some of the folks got similar RFEs.

mine too:)
PCee, you could also update my case info. My handle is "dom" under November 2001. My case approval details are at:

I got our approval notices in mail. I live in Sunnyvale, but the notices stated that we should go for passport stamping to San Francisco. Am I the only person from the South Bay send to SF for passport stamping?
thanks,

it depends:)
I heard back from INS on the same day, but from reading various posts on this forum, it really depends. It seems to vary from a day to never.

Wait time... it depends
My lawyer submitted an RFE response on 9/18. I'm still waiting for INS to change AVM/online message to acknowledge that they received it.
But it usually takes 2-4 weeks for INS to approve the petition after RFE response is acknowledged.

you should be okay
I don't know why it takes so long for INS to enter the RFE response information in. My lawyer submitted RFE response on 9/18 but the AVM hasn't been updated yet. You have nothing to worry about, we saw a lot of silent approvals in the past when the AVM was not updated at...
take it easy

take it easy

unfortunately, it does not mean anything,

Anybody saw "Red Dragon" last weekend?

Silly Man,
you need to find a better way to let your steam and frustration out. I don't think your random statements help other people who are stressed and waiting for their approvals. You have to keep in mind that this board should be used for a) exchanging pieces of...
