Don't worry about it because you didn't leave on your own. A friend of mine was recently laid off and got a severance package but was still able to claim umemployment benefits.
good luck!!
Do you need your I-94 card to get your passport stamped? I just realized that I misplaced mine...I still haven't gotten my approval but I am hoping it will be soon
Deeps0,
Can you tell me when you got u'r FP rescheduling notice? I am also in the wac -02-046 series.
Some people here say that if you respond to an RFE ASAP you can get approved very quickly...I dunno how that would work since your FP's have expired.
Good luck!!
We all try to come with ideas on why the CSC is screwed up but we don't know for sure...what we need is an inside source in the CSC.
Isn't there anyone visiting this boards that knows somebody within the service center, like an IIO, adjudicating officer.
I am sure somebody knows somebody that...
First of all this is the wrong forum. Secondly please be clear with all the details when asking a question...thirdly what the hell are you doing in auburn?? living in the boonies:)
If you have a F-1 stamp in your passport you can come back in a respectable time. You can land and stay in...
Hey calitiger,
Congratulations on your approval. I too feel that this is an excellent forum...proper advisement and seeing people in similar situations having the same frustrations.
Lemme ask you one question. If you had been laid off by your company would you still feel in the same way...
I don't think anybody knows and INS doesn't follow any rules even if there was one of keeping everything together. One thing I know is when the IIO used to look at my 485 file, they brought up everything related to my EAD, AP's, RFE's so I assume the officers can do it too...
It been discussed on this forum before but you should be fine. Just make sure you take your approval letter with you just in case they cause trouble when coming back from India(when boarding the flight in inda). Hopefully you should get your card between now and May.
Does anybody know how long before the end of 15 months does the INS start sending out notices for redoing expiring FP's? Anybody got notices to redo the FP's?
I understand that the FBI is busy with the war but for god's sake they have had so much time from November to clear out the cases...why don't they start approving cases which have already passed the FBI check...just another stalling ploy:cool:
oops, are we allowed to bitc* about the INS again??
Well it's not really necessary but you never know.
What happens if your new company doesn't do H-1 transfers and your are stuck using EAD and then you have to go out of the country.
Are you worried about the monetary costs?
As far as I know INS doesn't allow any forwarding of the mails.
When I moved out of my last apt my landlord lemme check my mails for about two to three weeks, and after that I had to give back the mail key. Is there anyway you could do that b/c I know the AR-11 takes a while to go through.
Well I tried getting some help in pushing the INS/BCIS from my company and the company's lawyer but I am not going to get any....
Do you guys know what the top lawyers' like shusterman, murthy, khanna etc have to say about this mess...anybody directly in tocuh with them?
Hey RDGC,
I wouldn't fully trust the IIO when they say that your case was assigned and would just take it with a grain of salt...Unless they respond to your fax enquiry stating "case assigned"
