ari4u, foipa is different from name check, someone in this forum received an actual clarification from the FBI, also if you send your Foipa request to USCIS then you will get only the information from USCIS not from FBI, Foipa is just the act.

How did you send your namecheck request for yourself?, I thought that only government agencies could request a namecheck, how did you do it?

Name check is still pending, everything else is fine, done everything already. Last week I met someone whose RD was Feb 2002, so I don't feel so lonely anymore.

Last congressman inquiry says "name check is still pending", funny it says still, that was a month ago, waiting for the e-mail sent in dec 23, 2004, I already sent an expedite request, it will probably be denied since namecheck still pending.

Some people never get an update and have no problems at all, but expect anything from TSC.

There's probably a backlog for FP notices, my congressman explained that to me, and told me it could take from 90 to 120 days to get 2nd FP, so just wait and relax, that's what I am doing know, I worry about GC only one hour during the day, life is short, so enjoy every minute.

I think your FP already expired, 15 months, take care of that first, request your congressman to send an inquiry and tell them about your FP, it worked for me.

Just got a letter from my congressman, "name check pending", sent a e-mail to fbi in mid december 2004, hope they'll answer soon, to see what happens.

I think that everyone that has that online message has that problem with the phone, apparently they have some problem putting together that online message and info on the phone.

I changed my address two times, the first time I didn't have any problem, and I did that change a month before the first FP notice, the problem was for my second FP, maybe you are right and it is handle by other department, if thats true, then how could we notify them????.

I have a different point of view, I did all that in mid October 2004, then got confirmation letter, and everything was apparently ok. In december I asked my congressman to send and inquiry and to check if the address was register, I got congressman response that new address was acknowledge, well...
