I got my AP at local office, Washington DC. They suppose to issue AP from local office.

GC_ANU I got same kind of RFE. Did you guys send your W2 forms , company's bank statements and tax papers. I have been working in this company from last Aug. Is it good idea to send my W2 or not.

I heard that if you marry before approval of green card you are eligible to apply follow to join ( I 824). Once they approve I 824 then you have to do counselor processing. Processing time of Follow to join is about a year. So you have to search other alternatives. Good luck

I am from VA too. Probably DC is the best place. I have seen lot of people from NY/NJ area who may not able to drive all the Way to DC. How about simultaneous meeting in different areas. Any thought?

I used it last month. Immigration officer looked my AP and asked if I had completed my school or not ( I came here at F1 Visa). Then I was to told to go another room ( secondary inspection). He checked my AP and stampped on my passport. That's all. My port of entry was New York. They didnot...

I guess it doesnt take that much time. But depends upon RFE and efficency of your officer who is handling your case. Good luck!

In my case I 485/I 140 thoery worked. I applied I 140 on June and applied 485 on Sept 16th. I got RFE on 5th sept. Buttom line, nothing is certain at BCIS.

Go to local SSA ( social security admistration office) and fill the social security card form and show them EAD. We will get it after 21 days. for local SSA office visit http://www.ssa.gov or http://s00dace.ssa.gov/pro/fol/fol-home.html

Lawyer in DC areas DO NOT charge for RFE response but they do charge if you take them with you during your interview. RFE is considered as part of processing fee. Basically we hire lawyer for RFEs and NOID. Otherwise everybody know how to fill the form out. :D

After 15 months, today online message changed. I got RFE... I will post details when I receive hard copy. Is this bad news or good news? I used labor substituation what kind of RFE it could be?
