The receipt no on my check was different from the one on receipt. I kept checking the one from check and it won't find it. Finally when I got the receipt I noticed it was off by 1.
1. carry all copies of AP. Sometimes they keep one copy, sometimes they only stamp and return back the copy. I had one copy and the officer was insisting that he wants to keep it. I had to ask him how will I travel in future, then he asks me if I am really planning to travel, because he wants to...
I was in same situation and came to know of RFE after almost 6 months, when I visited local USCIS office. I contacted the lawyer and he said he will send it to me. After few days of waiting, I finally sent him a certified letter CCing to USCIS. I also sent a letter to USCIS, asking them to...
Forget about what online case status says. Enjoy the power of EAD.
I had an RFE on my I-485 issued on Apr 24 & I didn't even know utill I went to San Jose office on oct 4, to enquire.
Now-a-days, you have to be lucky to get even the status updated.
Last time I had e-filed, I got RFE asking me to send the Photographs. I had not sent it with the application, because I guess the application does not ask to send them.
my colleague with EB3 sub, India with PD in 2001 got approval today.
There are so many folks with PD in 2001. Approvals are trickling in, so I am optimistic.
I have heard of EB3 India with PD in 2003 getting approvals as well.

tsdens,
Sorry for late response, I was away for a while. You can just search the forums.
Went to Phoenix local office to enquire about my 485, EAD & AP. For 485, the officer told that the case is with CSC and there's no reference that it is transferred to Phoenix. I mentioned that my...
Did you do a walk-in to phoenix office or is there a phone no? I want to check my status also.
I remember reading that CSC recalling cases from local offices is not unusual. I think it will be faster processing with CSC.
I am in Phoenix and my EAD & AP were transferred to SF office. It's been 6 mos. I asked my lawyer to enquire about it and he tells me not to expect anything and file another one.
Any suggestions what to do?
They are processing Oct'03 right now. Looks like I am about a year away from the case being picked up. Should I expect fingerprinting or is it going be a interview directly and everything done in one shot?
responded to 140 RFE in April and sent tons of docs with it.
485, got LUD for FP, again LUD 0n 4/26. Seemed hopeful, when next day it says RFE on 4/27.
Waiting for RFE letter.
