I haven't got any RFEs yet, my PD is July 2001. My husband, who is the primary applicant, got his gc a year back, a week before all the retrogression started, he was very lucky. My LUD changed on 06/29 and 07/03, but no message change.

Do not sign the contract! That's absurd! In fact, make a certified copy of it and keep it with you, you might need it in the future. Or take it to a lawyer and ask for advice. I am sure you can find commom ground there - maybe you write your own contract with less time and more money?

I think you were approved. I don't think your wife would be approved without you being approved first, if you are the principal applicant. Besides, when you are approved you receive a letter welcoming you to the United States.. like we haven't been here for ages already.. :)
