    same thing happened to me, interview a few days before 5 year anniversary, but oath was a few days after 5 year anniversary, i wouldn't say anything at interview in case the IO makes a deal of it............and it just gets put back............go for it!

    Timing of being out side the country

    The days you leave the US to not count as out of the US. And the same applies regarding the day you return to the U.S. you do not count it as a day out of the U.S. So going by your entry stamps into foreign countries will be fine, just note that some countries do not stamp your passport on...

    It should come within another week, someone from Oakland park got the same result at interview and their letter did arrive the second week.

    like nkm oct 23 stated best to make copies first and then post office, i did mine at the post office, expedited, applied the 20th August, issued 26th, received priority mail 29th, so its fast enough.

    Go with the date stamped on your permanent resident card, that is the safest.

    On the N400 naturalization form, there is an option to enter a different mailing address than your home address. Have any of you used that field to enter say a friend’s home address and have USCIS send all the communication to the mailing address that you specified? Were there any issues raised...

    I would put no, you don't owe the IRS any money, property taxes are a different matter and there is no qquestion asking about property taxes. Bankruptcy, credit scores and all that stuff has no bearing on your application.

    that won't be a problem, estimate over rather than under, so if you think you left on say a Tuesday, put down Monday. and the date you leave the US and the date you return does not count as days out of the USA.

    And it's important to note, if you have a PO Box always check your residential address mail box too, my fingerprint notice came to my PO Box but the interview letter to my residential address.

    I went smart casual attire for both the interview and oath, as i am in miami it would be silly to wear a jacket. At the interview I was surprised at some of the guys attire, jeans, blaring red t - shirts, bad idea! But I have to say the women being called for interview were all dressed...

    The final journey has started

    good luck, and while the test review and preparation looks like multiple choice format, the actual test at interview you will NOT be given answers to choOSE from, just a point to remember.
