    Photo question

That's my concern, if they keep every photo on record, with millions of applications do they bother checking each photo? I think there's more important things for them to worry about at each application then if the photo it's the same from previous years or not. But I know it's a clear rule...

    Urgent Help! dvlottery 2010!

    Photos for DV2010 Application

You can actually give a little touch on the photo, but nothing so astronomic like Tazmania said, red eyes, squeezing etc... If you see the photo is to dark or too bright you can fix it a little bit by the levels but no more then 5%. If changes starts to be big its better to take a new pic.

    photo background

If the photo edit is clearly seen by naked eye, they might disqualify the entry. Otherwise if its a real pro job and no edit touch is seen and all the rest of the rules are follow, then it's all fine.

    Photo n confirmation

They wont notify you if anything you wrote is wrong or have mistakes, including the photo, they simple disqualify you without notice. If you got a successful message after submitting then its all sent but doesn't mean it's all clear.

Can I visit the US on vacation if I am through to stage 2?

I think there's no problem at all, as you will use the Visa Waver Program, which is just a simple green form that you will have to fill in the airplane. There's nothing related to the DV application. It's just another normal trip you will do. All the countries with the VWP have this kind of...
