A great link provided by Ginnu!

Ginnu has provided an excellent link to USCIS Internal Adjudication Manual for Employment-Based Immigration Petitions (http://www.uscis.gov/files/pressrelease/afm_ch22_091206R.pdf) on another subforum, which, although addresses all I-140 petitions, also gives a very detailed review of EB-1...

    TSC is moving fast!

I feel so lucky that my case has been picked up by TSC! It took TSC a little over 2 months to approve my I-140 and a little over 2 months to approve my I-485. Hopefully, your cases will be approved soon as well - they are in the fastest of all USCIS Service Centers! :)

Hello friends! Just found out today (been away from my computer for a couple of days) that my I-485 has been approved on August 31. Details in my signature. No RFE, no interview. A LUD earlier on August 31. Got tremendous and invaluable help and advice on these forums - sincere gratitude...

    Grounds for I-485 denial

If my I-140 EB-1 EA ("extraordinary ability") petition has been APPROVED by TSC, then I file I-485/EAD/AP based on that (my priority date is current), and I: - Show up for my fingerprinting appointment(s) - Don't travel outside USA before I receive AP - Don't have any criminal records -...

    An I-485 question

I have mailed in my I-485/EAD/AP package to TSC 2 days ago (it's still in transit) based on a pending I-140 petition. This morning I found out that my I-140 has been approved. So from a semi-concurrent case this became an AOS case based on an approved I-140. I wonder, when they receive my I-485...

My I-140 EB-1 EA has been approved!

I am thrilled to share the wonderful news - this morning I was notified that my I-140 EB-1 EA has been approved, without LUD or RFE (the timeframe is in my signature). I would like to thank every contributor on this forum for providing such an excellent resource for immigrants, especially...

    G-325A question

I have a question on filling out G-325A. I've been in States since 1999 in P-1 status, which, although considered dual intent (i.e. the alien can either voluntarily leave after it's expired, or lawfully seek to become a permanent resident), also requests that the alien comes to the U.S. "having...

    A status question

Hello! I'm getting ready to file I-485 semi-concurrently (my EB-1 EA I-140 is already pending at TSC). And I've been wondering whether now is the right time to do it because of status concerns. My current status is P-1 and valid through Jan. 20, 2007, so I may want to renew it for another...

Any I-140 sent to and approved by TSC with RD later than Jan. 19, 2006?

I don't know about you, but I've been a little concerned that the RD for I-140 on TSC processing dates page has been Jan. 19, 2006 for a couple of months now. I was wondering exactly how accurate that is - has anyone sent I-140 paperwork to TSC with the RD later than Jan. 19 and got approved...

    Tax return

I'm getting ready to file I-485 semi-concurrently with an already pending I-140, EB-1 EA case - self-petitioned. Do I have to enclose my most recent tax return with the rest of the forms? The instructions don't call for it.

A question on filling out I-485

I have one question on filling out I-485. Part 3, Nonimmigrant Visa Number. Is it the 8-digit number in red on my visa page, or the 14-character control number? Thank you for your help!

Questions on filling out I-765 and I-131

I am getting ready to file I-485 together with I-765 and I-131 and I was wondering if you could help me out on a few points on filling out the forms. I would really appreciate your help! I-765 Part 11, "Have you ever before applied for employment authorization from USCIS?" I am in U.S...

    Concurrent filing

I asked the same question in another thread, but I think it got buried in all other comments and questions, so I thought I'd ask it in a new thread: So, what is the official position on whether concurrent filing is still available? It was still available in April, as there was a fact sheet...

    Sponsor - only a relative?

Hi! I have just filed an I-140 as EB-1 EA (self-petitioned). I have a question: when I get ready to file I-485, do I have to have a Sponsor? Seems like all information about Affidavit Of Support suggests it should be a relative, and my case is not family-based. Can a Sponsor be a friend who...

140/485 - to file concurrently or not - please help me make a decision!

140/485 - to file concurrently or not - please help me decide! Hi First of all, what a helpful forum this is! Thank you so much for all your contributions! I'm ready to file an I-140 on a EB-1 EA basis, as early as next week. But have been contemplating filing I-485 as well, as NSC seems...

Filing an EB-1 EA I-140 - can you do without an attorney?

Hello! I would like to ask for advice, if I may. I am considering filing for a green card (I'm on a P1 visa at the moment). My immigration attorney wants around $5,000.00 to prepare the case – besides government filing fees and doctor fees. I can't afford that, so I’ve been entertaining the...
