My 2nf FP too was never updated. The last record online is of my RFE received by INS on 06/17/2003. After that they issued 2nd FP on 6/19 and I got it done on 07/17. Neither has been updated.

I think we should rename this group to " EAD/AP issues at NSC". Because that all we end up doing, with these ludicrous delays.

NSC dates your new EAD from the date it was approved for year. So if anybody is working on an EAD, i would recommend that person to file for his renewal EAD more than 3 months prior to its expiration, and ensure that he/she gets an interim EAD if the new EAD has not arrived around the time fo...

I do not think much meaing should be applied these days as to when one gets an FP notice, unless you are pretty close to approval dates. Sometimes it depends in which state or under which local INS center you are living under and their workloads. I myself got FPed 1 month after my I485...

Guys, I was wondering how much does an address change impact a I485 case. If a person is with the same company, well beyond 6 months of I465 application, and assuming that BCIS updates the address correclty, what would be the implications of one or frequent address change ? Any comments ?

EAD receipt ChiGC00, We applied for my wife's EAD renewal on 08/22. INS cleared check on 09/22. But no receipt yet. I called the 800 # once .. the lady said wait for a month just for the reciept. I am truly speechless with any processing with INS these days.

GC Lookup, make sure you send a photocopy (color not necessary unless asked for I think) of eother your driver's license or the photo page of your passport for ID. I got an rfe for my first EAD since I had missed out sending one.

If you know what day your second FP is, i would recommed to take a day off, or a couple of days off if u are a travelling consultant, from work and get it done. Yes you can definitely take it on a specific day of a week for a month or so after the Fp date, but why delay it.

I think you can ask INS to send you a replacement card. Do you still have the mailer with you in which they sent you the card ? I think there are some instructions on it in case an applicant looses his EAD card. I would advise you to call the 800 BCIS customer service number / contact...

There are a lot of people here on this forum whose FP statuses are never updated. My second FP notice details never were updated. I would keep the FP notice copy as well as the paper they give you when you do your FP.

I think you are very much ok .. Seems like you were with employer A for at least 6 months of I485 filing. And "A" is still very co-operative. The way things are proceeding right now, it could be atleast a year till INS comes to your case.
