May 02 ( change in message )

ON May 2 the message changed indicating that a RFE has been sent requesting more evidence. I have not yet received the RFE. I want to know

1) How long does it normally take for the RFE to reach me / my lawyer
2) Can anybody share their experience as to what evidence is normally asked.

3) Does receiving the RFE mean that the results of the Name check are with INS

4) How much time does it take to process RFE replys

Now they are looking at Dec 16,2004 cases. So this thread becomes obsolete????
I am glad that now I can make a call to USCIS ....
 
Despite bullish CSC JIT date there are still a lot of cases which have not been processed yet.

Can someone run stats for WAC-05-031-5XXXX ? The last update on my 485 was 03/24. There has been no activity since. No LUDs on 140 either.

It takes a app a week for RFE to reach you.
2) Can anybody share their experience as to what evidence is normally asked.
Most of cases they ask for Company's ability to pay and your W2's
3) Does receiving the RFE mean that the results of the Name check are with INS
I dont think so.
4) How much time does it take to process RFE replys

It seems like there is not much activity on applications filed in OCtober / November. Any recent LUDs ?

Reason for delayed Oct/Nov cases

As I wonder why my 11/10/2004 I-140 has no updates yet, I'd like to share some information with my fellow applications.
My lawyer just gave me a great reason why our oct/nov cases are not approved yet. She told me whenever CSC updates the JIT dates they assign the stack of applications before that date to an officer(s). Depending on the RD they work in timely order to the actual JIT date. Conclusion: when CSC releases a new JIT date, they should have finished working on all applications from the second last stack. She confirmed that CSC is truly rushing through the applications however quite often issue RFEs. When they start looking at the case they first check LC and sometimes come up with annoying RFEs. Nothing serious and quickly to address. If the lawyers act quickly CSC normally approves within days.

In case of no RFE we should give CSC time to work on the applications and refrain from calling them. The more calls they answer the less they can work on our applications.
She advised me to stay put for a couple of weeks and inquiry then.

Given the speed CSC is working I'm positive we'll receive good news very soon.

I got my LUD changed for both I-140 and I-485 on 05/03 but there is no change in the underlying message. My lawyer called the 1800 number and opened an inquiry and me also called my local congressman office and gave them details of my case.They said they will get back to me with in a week after checking with CSC.

Thank you for sharing this information.

Maybe you can ask your lawyer why a significant amount of cases which are 60 days overdue according to JIT have not been touched yet.

Let's take I140 cases with RD of Oct 18th 2004 since I have all the data below.

As you can see there are 22 cases which were not processed for this particular day.
Those 22 cases have the same original message status (Your I140 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR ALIEN WORKER was received on October 21, 2004).

As of 5/6/05 WAC-05-014-5XXXX I140

Update on my case.
My 140/485 ND are Oct 07,2004. Got my 140 approved on March 30,2005.
But till now my lawyer didn't get the approval notice. So he called to inquire about the approval notice. They told him that they will resend the approval notice and asked him to wait for another 30 days.

For my 485 no LUD or Message Change. So I called the 800# and the lady who answered asked me to wait for 30 more days before I can call again. If I don't get my 485 approved before this month end I can call them next month. Hoping for the best...
 
My 485 got LUD on 5/2. no change in the message. i called emrgency number on apr 29th, the guy said its pendning for name check.
as with 140 it got approved on apr 22.
all of these were applied on Oct 22 2004.

Same here. Called up emergency line on Apr 29. Got LUD on 485 on 5/2. Same story, pending name check.

140 approved on 4/1/05. Concurrent filing, ND 10/5/2004.

CSC in deep sleep mode ...

I don't know if it is cinqo de mayo celebration but CSC is in deep sleep ...
No action at all on I140 with Oct18th2004 RD ...

The last approval is almost 1 WEEK OLD!! (last tuesday) ...

I think I need to call the emergency no. too . My RD is 10/22 but the LUD on my I-140 is 10/26/04 (485 is more recent - 3/21/05) .

The only no. I could find was : (800) 375 – 5283 and this seems to be invalid .

Could you pl. give me the emergency no. .

Name check pending

11/03/04 ND for 140/485 CSC EB2

140 approved on 4/12/05

485, just got email from FBI (sent last Dec.) that name check is pending. Ugh...
 
what is the email id for FBI?? any idea how long it takes for name check to clear?

some of my friends have the 485 pending for over a year, i hope such in not the case for us all...

Unfortunately , the rep seemed a bit clueless :(
He wasn't even aware of the fact that current dec. 2004 I-140's are being processed. Guess , in fairness , he probably deals with more than just I-140's ;)

So, now I'm waiting for him to call back with the status ... not very hopeful but at least I made the initial contact FWIW ...
