Those who applied in oct/nov 2004

I called CSC to inquire about my case. They refused to even file an inquiry for me! Here is my information:

LC EB-RIR Approved JUL2003
I131/140/485/765 filed conc with CSC AUG2003
I131: AD 08JUL2004
I765: AD 08JUL2004
I140: CSC sent RFE on 11OCT2004 (Ability to pay)
Responded to RFE on 24OCT2004, RD 28OCT2004
LUD's 18FEB2005 (due to inquiry)
I485: CSC sent RFE on 11OCT2004 (W-2s, Tax returns, paystubs)
Responded to RFE on 25OCT2004, RD 28OCT2004
LUD's 28OCT2004

Anyone can help please...

I think it totally depends on the person you talk to. I just called them (800-375-5283), and the guy I talked to was very friendly. He took all my information and forwarded the inquiry to the processing center. He also told me that for concurrent cases I-140 and I-485 are normally approved at the same time, but since I-485 takes much longer to process, the associated I-140 will just have to wait. But he took both receipt numbers and told me that it may take them up to 30 days to repond. So we'll see what happens.
 
FINALLY, I got the e-mail today saying my I-140 is approved! Hang on there, guys, there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Good luck to you all, and I'm looking forward to my 485 approval.

Congrats Dude,

I think there is a similarity in your and my case. I also called up emergency and got a nice guy. That was a Friday. He checked all my details and told me to hold on and that he would try to expedite it. On Monday morning, at 11 am I got 140 approval mails.

In your case also, you called up on Friday and the approval mails happen the following Monday.

I wish I get him back for my 485 as well.

Anyway, Best of luck on your 485.

Finally I got approval mail, I140 was approved May 13th....

485 is still pending though.

Thought I'll let you all know that as of May 12th my I-140 (RD: 10/22/04) was approved . I'd called the emergency no. on Thurs. I believe and was told that my case would be looked into and he'd call back with details.

Had given up hope on hearing back till I got a call y'day i.e. 5/16/05 from the INS rep. saying that my I-140 was approved.

Unfortunately , in the euphoria of the 140-approval , I forgot to ask him about I-485 :)

Question about RFE

Background of case, Concurrent with ND 10/5/04.

Received a RFE on birth certificate of my spouse on I-485 saying that it is late registrations and that it has to be supported by affidavits, passport pages, school certificates etc.

Now here are my questions
1)How come there is nothing about I-140 and RFE on I-485.
2)Are affidavits a must? Does anyone have any experience in a similar situation. I will have to get them from India.
3)At what stage is this birth certificate check done? Can I assume that the process is near the end or is it still towards the beginging?

gcsfo : nope , they never asked me about the "emergency" but doubt they could have considering that they are posting priority dates that are more than 2 months ahead of my RD/ND :)

however , it looks like either I was very lucky that I got thru' the no. the first time around or they are clamping down , since my call seems to go to the answering service (like many others seem to have encountered) :(

I have my 485 approved on 5/5/2005 Spause's 485 still pending and still waiting for approval notice mail. Call them up and they said I have to wait for 30 days fo rthe approval notice mail. even the website said 14 days... I guess all I can do is just wait till Jun 5.

to 140-485 LUD before approval

The only LUD for 140 was one week after filing (they checked for concurrrent filing eligibility) - no other LUD on 140 until approval.

I received a LUD on 485 on 3/25 without message change. I suspect they received name checks results or just placed the applicaton on another pile?
No other LUD until approval.

I predict all Oct/Nov cases will be finished very soon. Check out the current processing date-they seriously improved their throughput.
