Case status

Hi Guys,
My lawyer gave me the receipt # for I-140 and this link to check the status
https://egov.immigration.gov/cris/caseStatusSearchDisplay.do;jsessionid=ec_BqF75r2v8

But when I put in my receipt # I get the following message
"Status for this Receipt Number cannot be found at this time in this automated system. Please check your case receipt number to see if it is correct. If you have questions or concerns about your case status, please contact the service center where you submitted your application"

I get a similar message when I call the USCIS 24 hour automated line at 800-375-5283.
What does it mean?
Is there a different web site/link to check status?

Where do you guys check the current processing dates for I-140/I-485.

Speak to a Customer Service Rep

I would certainly no longer depend on checking these automated systems whether online or on the phone. The last one month has been very spooky. None of their online records are updated for select cases (which are not few) and if you notice they have not updated the processing dates for more than three weeks.

I would call the customer service number at 1800 375 5283 and speak to a representative immediately.
