Others can correct me if I'm wrong, but what it seems to boil down to: There are three entities that process all family-based immigration applications, depending on how they are filed (in person, by mail, together, separate, etc.) Lockbox facility - An initial processing/Sorting Station...

how long will my case get back on track?

Not to sound sceptical or anything, but you can't ASSUME anything with USCIS, should make a decision is a better statement, but nobody can say for sure. And anybody who says they can are scammers!

RFE - I-864 (affidavit of support) - really confused

Seems like an RFE I got.... if you sent your own copies of tax returns, then you need to not only send W-2s, but also all 1099s (if any, which will add to income), and all the schedules that were submitted to IRS. In other words, send the whole tax package this way. If, however, you request...

how much did you pay for medical examination? report: me, $260

It's a flat fee of $300 here. Didn't accept insurance AT ALL. I had full immunization record already with me, so I don't know if they'd have charged me extra for the shots. They've done main part of the exam in one room and an X-ray in the room next door. The whole thing didn't even take an...

Well, that's the thing. On my I-864 instructions it said 3, so I sent in MY OWN copies for the past 3 years. Now I got a Yellow slip "Request for initial Evidence" that asks me to submit tax records for the past year. 3 years is better than one, no? Or does it have to be a Certified IRS copies...
