Since your cousin is A07, he may argue his spouse is not a Chinese citizen. Even though his spouse is Chinese, I don't see anything wrong with A07 travelling to COP at all. A07 and A08 are based on family reunion, not political prosecution. I'm surprised to see some people showed little...

Nothing informative on the letter. Just says in order to speed up the processing, they transferred the case to the newark asylum office, and the office will notify me of the decision made on the application.

Same thing happened to me too! My nunc pro tunc was approved in May, and my I-485 case was transferred to NSC shortly after. However, yesterday I just got the same letter as yours saying my case was transferred back to Newark office. Wonder what happened. :mad: Please keep me updated.

This thread is going to nowhere :( fasaavedra, I think I understood your question. Let me try to interpret what you were asking: As a fact, the IO in some country cares about the code on your GC (maybe China is one of them), while the IO in some other country simply don't care about the code...

I think what fasaavedra wants to know is simply if there is any country's IO known as specifically inspecting the code on the GC. It's simple as it is. He didn't mean asking which COP country is safe to go back.

Do you mean I-485 decision? Aos08, Do you mean I-485 decision? That would be too good to believe!!:) I was told (in the interview) that once my own asylum status is granted, the 485 case will be sent back to Nebraska center. My understanding is it will be treated as same as other 2007 club...
