Waiting Asylum decision

One of my friends had submitted asylum in April-2020 at Newark in new jersey. He is still waiting for interview. Any one is still waiting like him ?

I waited 3 years for an interview and 2 years for an answer after the interview . Not sure how long is taking right now .

Got FOIA Reply 11/28/2022.
Inquiry Through Congress Man 12/16/2022
Again, Congress man Inquiry 1/20/2022
Case Changed to Decision Mailed Today on 1/24/2023.
May will get tomorrow or on Thursday.

He didn't get status" Work permit Fees Waived."
But we are not able to add case in USCIS Account or EOIR.

Not in that case also, after him, i also applied for my but no clue at all in our cases.

I completed interview on Dec 29 and next day on 30 Decision is pending and the next day on 31 changed to application is pending
Also I would like to mention that the AO didn’t asked much about personal statement and evidence I provided just simple and direct questions
Any clue please

The status change is pretty standard. Mine was the same and it’s been stuck for two years

9 months after interview still long time and yet he got a negative decision!

Why we need to mention option? We cannot get complete file??

I didn’t request for FOIA.
did inquired 3 times and I submitted evidence from my doctor due to my health condition.
I had my interview on Feb 2022.
1st inquiry was on Jul 2022
2nd inquiry was on Oct 2022
3nd inquiry was on early Dec and at the end of Dec I got notification “fees were waived”
Early January I received approval notice in the mail.

Got after a week after you requested it? Is it that fast? Whats the fee?

I know that they remove it. The usually cross off the decision part in the scanned file. But you’d be able to tell if the wiped part was written on the denial section or the approval section. Please take another look

I assume requesting the whole file would take them long time to get beck to you with the file. However when he only requested the interview part he got it after a week

Yes You can ask for whole file as well, But you need to mention in Other Options at last.

Interview went well 3-4 hours he submitted all proofs and etc. File was also big one. i don't know why people getting refer or denial after too long time.
