Submitted RFE recently and waiting for approval

It is interesting that bunch of us did 1st Fp in Jan 2003 have got RFEed but not yet second FP. You FP seems not expired until recently. So I don't understand either. The thought I had was that maybe our FP are not yet expired according to CIS (who may receive the FP result much later than the date the FP was taken). So there is a chance your wife doesn't need it. However, as the time goes by, this theory may be proven wrong. we have yet to see some one approved with first FP right around expiration.

The current plan of USCIS I learned from a messeage posted on rupnet (by "aquarius" who actually read the plan):
for the FY 2004, ending in October, a processing for applications of maximum 20 months. At the end of fiscal year 2005, they gurarantee a processing of 15 months or less.

My reading: This means most 2002 filers should be done by October.

so based on your note, if by 10/04 all cases that are up to 20 months old will be adjudicated, it means that they are planning to finish 2/03 by then, and they should be looking into the subsequent months. they are not that far from that point right now, so what's the differnece?
Let me know if I am missing something here...

You think they are not far from that point? based on what? The official date is Jan 2002 right now, but their goal is Jan~Feb/03 as you said, with 3 and half months left? Am I misunderstanding you?

Naamuthi,

When your spouse received 2nd FP Notice from INS, have you got any update emails from USCIS before the notice?

We are in the same boat except my spouse haven't got 2nd FP Notice yet.

Thanks,

Peter

ND: 12/20/2002

1st FP: 02/01/2003 (Both)
2nd FP: ??/??/????

RFE: 05/07/2004 (EVL), Response received by INS: 05/27/2004

Peter,

I have registered My Lin Number for the Automatic Updates but not my Wife's.
But I have been checking both our cases everyday. Even now there is no update in either of the cases or any mention of second FP for my Wife.

Hope this helps, I agree with you, we both are exactly on the same boat. Lets hope that atleast we get our Second FP ASAP and then an approval...

naamuthi,

Thank you for your reply.

I checked my case online, and found the update date was June 2, 2004, even though they received RFE on May 27, I got email of update status on May 28. The information confused me, the update date should be May 28 after they received RFE instead of June 2nd, don't know what they have done on June 2nd, also I didn't get any email when they updated on June 2nd.

Let's pray!

Peter

Peter,
Same here, When I check my Status without Loggin in, it shows " We recevied ... May 27th....." .
When I log in, the Last Update shows 06/02/2004. But No email or no msg. Change everything is stand still.

We got no other Option but to WAIT.... Thanks for your support.

What? FP2 or Approval?
We have similiar ND and 1FP and RFE date.
I am thinking 2nd FP. I used to think maybe there was a chance we don't have to. But I am convinced now 2nd FP is what we should look forward to. Hope you and I and others with the similiar situation get it soon.
