DV 2022 AOS (Adjustment of Status) Only

You know that no one can read minds? And also the reason mom couldn't find you is not because her "ctrl+f" keys don't work? And the reason she asked for your timeline is to better assist you? So why would you 1. write your timeline in another name, 2. avoid answering by just saying "Already there"? Nonetheless, you're free to do that. But, I'm not the one who comes back here for help when their bio, interview, notification, etc is 5 minutes late. JusWh

Why is there so much pre-assumption and passive aggressiveness involved in your response? When did I request anyone to read my mind about anything? @Sm1smom Asked me to put my timeline on the sheet and I replied that the timeline exists there already by "already there".
I did not have a single sentence stated by YOU in this comment on my mind while replying to @Sm1smom. Why do you think saying "Already there" is equal to "IN YOUR FACE, it is ALREADY there. GOT YA! Proved you WRONG!!!!"? I feel like that's your pre-assumption, judgmental mind that's reflecting on reading people's simple two words response of "already there".
1- I have entered the info on spreadsheet since months ago. My partner updates everything there and when he started putting the info there, no one has warned/told us that we should use the same username as I have here. In fact, I might have not even had an account here back then. THAT CAN HAPPEN. NOT EVERYTHING HAS A HIDDEN INTENTION or ATTACK.
2- Answering what? I had asked a question. @Sm1smom asked me kindly to put my info on spreadsheet and I shortly informed her/him that it has been already done. I am still looking into my alerts to see the "ANSWER" to what question was needed from me. I cannot seem to find anything that I have not responded yet.

People have lives besides this forum and besides their immigration status. I go to work, I sometime log into this forum from my phone. I am sometimes in a rush and just want to check the most updated posts and reply to what's asked and leave or sometimes forget to reply after reading... Just because we are seeking help here, it does not mean our whole life is limited to this forum. I have had conversations with @Sm1smom and a few other generously helpful people ever since I have won the lottery and never had I ever tried to attack or incline a passive comment, and I have expressed my appreciation. I appreciate help and after this year, I will be helping those in the same situation as much as I can. Where is such aggression from just reading "already there" coming from?

Before trying to teach people a lesson, read everything/see everything with a positive attitude and see their good intention instead of concluding the worst possible scenarios and your own conspiracy theories.

I'm not gonna bother reading your text in full, but skimming through I saw words "teach" and "passive aggressive". Ironic! You wrote me an "essay" full of "upper key words", not the other way around! Anyways, that was end of story from my side. Good luck getting help here!

@Sm1smom This behavior is not acceptable. S/He (Blade) literally replied with aggression and now s/he is acting like s/he hasn't said anything. We are not expecting to see such behavior in this forum. Please be a little bit nicer. Thanks.

Actually I thought blade’s response was fine. I personally got the same kind of impression from the seemingly pretty rude way the person responded to mom, at the very least they could just have given the name it was under on the spreadsheet. Anyway if you have a problem with someone and want to bring it to the attention of a mod there is a report key, no need to let the whole forum know.

Thank you for letting me know about the report key! And "already there" is not rude at all! No one has any personal issue with anyone here. He could also use the report button instead of giving an agressive response.
Anywas, let's keep this forum nice!
Thanks.

I am unfortunately not aware of the username off the top of my head, since my partner has access to the sheet and has entered everything. It seems like you have also had the impression that "already there" is rude. Then I am sorry!
It is good to look at people's past and their past interactions for reaching a conclusion about them and judging them based on that. I personally will never get any negative feelings from someone telling me "already there" after I have had several other conversations with the same person over the course of time (few months) and that person always expressed his/her appreciation (obvious from all my postings and interactions with Mom).
Also, the conversation we had where Mom told me to add my info to spreadsheet was the end of the interaction for me. I had no idea she is asking this for her to CHECK the info herself based on the name and share her opinion separately especially since the dates were all written here. I thought more so that she wants me and others to be encouraged to add the info there aside from writing it here too and I gave her assurance that the info is already there. Up to this day, I don't know what my name on spreadsheet is unless I go and check it. I find myself by looking at the city and dates.

Well, in anyways if everyone got a "rude" feeling from "already there", I am sorry. However, I truly believe "already there" as a response does not deserve the kind of response blade_ gave me. Clearly, people are on an attack/defense mode here. It might be rightly so due to the past experiences, but not everyone should face the same attack/defense attitude.

P.S: I checked my emails/chats with my manager where there are many "already submitted", "already checked", "already done" sentences from both sides. Good to know that people can have different perceptions from the same words, sentences. Gotta be more careful.

“Already there” when it’s under a different username without saying what that username is is just totally not helpful, sorry.

maybe some people have the time to go back and check every posters past history before responding but i don’t, sorry

PS this is kind of weird that so many occasions that no one seems to know what someone they’re working with has already submitted, checked, done etc, if as you imply these ar all in response to questions about it, but i guess that’s not really relevant here

And "already there" is not rude at all!
.
Your perception was different than mine, for sure.
I do understand that sometimes different language backgrounds lead to different modes of interpretation. (That is why i said in my earlier post ‘I personally thought” and “seemingly rude”, rather than imposing a blanket “is or is not rude at all” type response. When I started learning German for example we were taught that some things that are perfectly acceptable in German can sound very rude to a native English speaker.)

Personally, I also thought @blade's response was fine while I thought the "already there" response without any additional information (considering it is listed under a different username) was rather flippant; I certainly did not appreciate it either and I wasn't going to respond directly to it - although I now understand (having read subsequent posts, that was not the OP's intent). However, I had resolved going forward (as a result of that post),that I will stop responding to questions about delays, or issues being faced, or what to do, from older forum members who already filed or completed their bio whose information I cannot locate on the Timeline Spreadsheet, as that is a very useful tool which provides a bigger picture as to what is going on.

I get it, what is offensive to some may not be offensive to others, difference of opinion is okay. However, at this point, I think we can all move on from this for the sake of other forum members.

Hi all,

I sent my $330 DV AOS fee on 6/17 and received my 2NL last Friday (7/7). KCC sent out a physical copy of my receipt, but my mailroom refused delivery as I was not home at the time (I was livid as this has never happened before - they always used to sign my packages but there was a new guy ). USPS is saying that they will return the post back to the sender which is very unfortunate. Is there another way I can obtain receipt of the payment?

I'll also update the timeline.

Appreciate everyone's help. Thank you!

Pay an immediate visit to your local post office to see if you can intercept the mail before it gets sent back. If that fails, email the KCC, inform them the receipt has not yet been delivered and request a copy of they mail you a copy of it. Don’t go into details about your mailroom person refusing to sign for it or that USPS already stated the mail is being returned - just say you’ve not received it.

Thanks @Sm1smom! I'm going first thing in the morning. Do you recommend sending them the request now or should I wait a couple of weeks? I've already sent the AOS Pack with evidence of USCIS cashing the check. Thanks again.

I think you should use your discretion since you’ve already sent in your AOS package anyways.

1. write your timeline in another name,
I’ve certainly made a few controversial comments/ replies in this forum, and I’m sure many of my posts are skimmed past but dang, this really grinds my gears lol.

I’ve read numerous posts from people referring to their case then when I go to check the spreadsheet, they aren’t there (in another name) or half filled. I’m not pointing fingers but despite the shtposts, I’m happy to say I’ve at least tried to contribute to the spreadsheet for others. Rhetoric question, what’s the point of having two separate names then complaining when you can’t be helped because no one can see the progress of the case.

It's been over a week since I requested a name change to match what I have on the spreadsheet but it is yet to be approved. Now that this appears to becoming an issue, I would kindly indulge you that my request is reviewed for approval. @Sm1smom and @SusieQQQ

Yes, you should. Thanks for the update.
Hi Mom, USPS actually delivered my interview notice today. I do have a couple of questions regarding that.
1657593639127.png
1). I am the derivative. My wife is the principal applicant. She did not get her IL yet. I guess we both should plan to attend with all our documents on my interview date?
2.) This says "Initial Interview". Hope this is the 'Actual' interview?
3.) It specifically asks to bring I-693. Should we get a new one? or just bring the copy I have of the already sent original?
4.) It also asks for I-864. I looked at the AOS process spreadsheet. I will prepare the necessary explanations. However, I did not plan on getting an I-134 as I believe our savings + W2 income would suffice for the public charge requirement. In case, the IO decides that we need to have a I-134, will they allow us to submit that later? like without outright rejecting the application.

Thank you!

I don’t have visibility to name change requests, I however have brought your request to our host and his teams attention. Hope you get a response soon.
