DV 2022 AOS (Adjustment of Status) Only

Approximately how long after the Bio Appointment or how long after the Bio Walk-in, one should get worried if the person has not received the letter of interview yet? My Bio Schedule was for 22nd of June and I did the Walk-in on the 13th. I know from the excel sheet that I should still be good and waiting specially that my field office might be a more crowded one. However, I just want to have a rough deadline in mind to know by when I should start thinking of taking actions if that deadline is passed and I still have not heard or received a letter for the interview. I appreciate your answer. Please beware that I know this is all very relevant and dependent on each case and your answer is not the only thing I would depend on for taking further actions. My question is just about the estimate for the deadline out of experience and seeing many cases throughout the years. Otherwise, I will myself decide and consider everything on my own discretion. Thanks!

@Sm1smom
I'm sorry I cannot approximate how long to wait before getting worried about the IL following the bio completion. This is not a one size fits all kind of situation, each case is more or less different and there are different factors at play.

Another question.
1- Does USCIS or the Field Office considers sending the letter of interview from the time Bio was scheduled or from the time Bio was done/finished? Or is it a separate process and has nothing to do with the Bio appointment or procedure?

2- Is there a rough pattern throughout the years on the field offices or the cases for which cases have their interviews waived? Maybe based on nationalities? e.g. Europeans hypothetically get their interviews mostly waived for example ... People who have their field offices somewhere crowded get their interviews waived for example ... Any potential patterns were noticed at all? I understand this is very tough to answer. So if there is no pattern observed never mind this question. Thanks.
1. Two separate processes which may or may not have any bearing on one another. The NBC schedules the bio appointment, the FO schedules the interview appointment. Some FOs consider bio schedule and completion prior to scheduling the interview. Some do not.
2. One's nationality has absolutely no bearing on interview waiver AFAIK - if it did, that would be considered racial profiling. The only observable pattern has to do with the FO (when the case is properly front-loaded). Take a look at the current and past timeline spreadsheets, you should be able to see the FOs that have consistently waived the DV AOS based interview.

Hi all, this is my interview experience. After the incident where all of the officers responsible for DV cases were out of the office and had to reschedule the interview, I successfully attended one today and was told the case is approved. My interview was scheduled at 10. I arrived at the field office in downtown NY around 9:10 and waited an hour until I got called. I took oath right after the lady checked my current passport and the one that has my current Visa. The lady told me she checked all of my documents prior to the interview including my medical exam and my high school diploma, and she has approved both of them. Then we went through all of the questions listed on I485 and that was it! The interview took less than 10 minutes and the lady told me my case is approved. Case status changed to new card is being produced just as I got home. Overall a very smooth interview experience. Thank you @Sm1smom for your help throughout the journey. Once again, patience is key.

Hi all,

It has been 90 days since my fingerprint was taken. I'm still waiting for my interview notification.
My location is Arizona.
This is my timeline:
02/17 Shipped AOS Package (USPS)
02/18 AOS Package Arrived at Phoenix Lockbox
03/29 Bio fingerprint done

Does anyone has any suggestion for my case like expedition etc.?
I'm not sure whether my waiting time for interview notification is normal or not.
Thanks!

Hi all,
I have a question about USCIS account creation. I received SMS few days ago and there is no other official communication yet. Should I create the account with receipt number or do I need any other info from the official letter.
Thanks

Could you please tell us a bit about your case? As much as you are comfortable. Maybe your nationality or Status or State or field office location? I am hoping to find a pattern for those who get their interviews waived.
This is why we put the timeline spreadsheet together - all of that information can be found in the 2022 Timeline Spreadsheet - take a look at it (and do add your update there as well if you're yet to do so).

Reach out to your congress person and request their assistance with case follow-up with USCIS. If you need more guidance on how to initiate a congressional case follow up, take a look at the AOS-FAQs section of the AOS Process Spreadsheet. And you should also add your update to the Timeline Spreadsheet where you can also see other AOSers progress.

Yes you can go ahead and create the USCIS account with the receipt number.

Hi! Finally last Saturday we got our Green Cards mailed at home for the four of us. I would like to thank you very much to all the people in this group, and specially to Sm1smom and SusieQQQ for their time and dedication sharing their knowledge with the rest of us.

I have updated the spreadsheet with my data.

Best of lucks to all of you that are still working on it!
Congrats, sir!

I remember that your interview was waived, so I'm even more tempted to know details about your case. Thank you in advance!

Yes, of course.
Nationality: Spain
Previous status: E2 visa.
Biometrics office: Austin.
Field Office: San Antonio.

To be honest, I was surprised about the interview waived notice. I did all my homeworks and submitted everything I could to get it, but I thought having a non-dual (E2) visa status would limit my chances of getting it without the interview.

Good luck!

Hi, interview update from LA FO.
Everyone was really nice and friendly. We got there early and saw a long queue. After a while a security guard called out everyone who had an immigration interview and I joined that line. My mom came with me. We went through security and met our lawyer inside. Then when it was time I heard my name and walked off with my lawyer to a separate room. IO was really nice. He didn’t ask to see any originals. He went over my whole application and jokingly told me how lucky I was to have won the lottery which was the hardest part. He asked yes no questions and then said I see no reason to deny you a GC. He said I will review your case and let you know in a months time and then he added ‘or I could do it today or tomorrow’ . That was it. I just checked my status has changed to ‘new card being produced’
Thankyou @sm1mom @susie and all the members for your support through this extraordinary journey. Will update the excel sheet when GC arrives!

it looks like San Antonio FO rocks this year - the #1 in interview waiving :)

Congrats! Looks like we had the same officer, but still no news about our case.

Makes me think that something is wrong with it, but there's no one to ask.

Great news. Congrats. And now, if you could fully update your timeline on the spreadsheet, that would be great.

congrats to everyone here. I was here last year and know how overwhelming this gets. Follow what @Sm1smom is saying she knows this process very well. thanks again @Sm1smom.

1 - question @Sm1smom I got my GC and planing to leave US for few days. I have a pending asylum, that I got before the GC and I was never out of status even before my GC. Do i need advance parole to leave US, although I have GC? I am visiting my wife's country.
