DV 2022 AOS (Adjustment of Status) Only

Hi all, starting to get a little nervous as I did not receive my Acceptance text since I have my AOS package received @ Chicago Lockbox on Apr 4th.
I did include G-1145 & checked my Cashier's check has not been cashed yet.

On the timeline spreadsheet, it appears people who have their Packages sent in between Apr 1-4th have already received their acceptance Apr 14.

I may be overthinking and impatient, but if there is a rejection in AOS package, they will return the package with a reason of rejection/denial?
Hi Ozeel, we are in the same boat. I have been getting nervous as well. Mine got delivered April 2 but no acceptance text till now. I called the lockbox and was told to email lockboxsupport@uscis.dhs.gov if it has been more than 15 days. So I am waiting till Friday, if nothing, Il email.
My case no is AF34*** - Current in April - F1.
Seeing how useful you both have found the Timeline spreadsheet to be, I'm wondering how come you've not listed your own updates to enable others benefit from you like you're benefitting from those who already did?

I was planning to wait till at least I have my NOA, then only I put my info!
But i can request access now & start filling up :)

Appreciate the explanation. The tool will be more useful if the update starts from Lockbox delivery date, it enables everyone who sent in their package around the same time keep track and compare progress.

Oh yes, I was planning to as well. Was waiting to get acceptance then update on the spreadsheet.

If you both had updated the spreadsheet earlier on, you both would have seen you’re not alone with waiting for the NOA, having sent in the AOS package around the same time which you both would have found a bit reassuring, right?

Hi @Sm1smom.
I have a couple of short questions.
1- If I send the money order to USCIS, is it alright that I am sending two money orders ($1000) and another money order ($225) for the AOS DV? Unfortunately, USPS does not give one piece of paper with a value of more than 1000 dollars, so now I have two.
2- On the money order, there is a place "Pay to" and "Address". I know that I should write US department of homeland security for the "pay to" part, but what should I write as their address?
3- In the 485 instruction, it says that whatever does not exist like "Middle Name" should be left with N/A. However, a lot of people have experienced issues with their cards coming and their middle name being N/A. Some say I should leave this blank and not write anything there. What do you advise?
4- I do have some certified translations from a couple of degrees (one in German and one in Farsi). I also have translated my own Birth certificate. I have taken two witnesses to the bank for the notary service and they declared that the translations are all accurate. Do you think this leads to any confusion since I asked witnesses to sign for a very old certified translation as well as something I translated myself?
5- I got current for June. Do you think it makes any difference whether I send my documents beginning of May or on the 27th of April? Again this question is based on discussion with other winners, where some believed sending it in May will lower the chances of getting rejected for early filing. Thank you!
I appreciate your time and response.

I sure do hope so. But there were also a couple folks who have sent their AOS packages at the same time frame and already got their acceptance text last week too.
Perhaps I was too excited, thus being impatient which leads to the anxiety of waiting for this "acceptance text message" :)
I suppose will wait with @grafaah until end of the week before sending in an email to enquire.

1. Yes, that is fine.
2. Use the address for your AOS package
3. Leave Middle Name section blank if you have no Middle Name.
4. The work of a notary typically is for signature verification purpose. If your two witnesses are fluent in both English and the language in which the documents were originally issued in, then they should just translate the document and attach a statement certifying their fluency in both languages. Same thing with your B/C by the way. That is the instruction that I am aware of for handling translated documents, not for one person to translate and for someone else who had nothing to do with the translation to certify the authenticity of the translation(s).
4. Early filing is early filing, it doesn't matter if the early filing is by one day, one week, or one month. Rejection of package due to early filing by one day can and has happened in the past. You'll need to decide on your own without any input from me on what you should do in this case.

Yes, I'm aware of the other folks who already got the NOA. My post was about being able to see you are not the only one still waiting.

On the topic about being nervous while waiting on NOAs. I received first NOA 4/4 same time as another user on spreadsheet hailey. It is now 4/19 and have not receive bio notice while hailey received bio notice 4/15. Should I start reaching out to USCIS or practice patience? :)

1. Is your ASC same as hailey's?
2. Are you listed on the spreadsheet yourself?

Definitely be patient! Note that for bio and interview letters, you should compare yourself with people form your ASC and FO. You live in Iowa and she is from east coast. So, not comparable.

Makes sense. Yes, I will patiently wait. Thanks again.

The bio appointment is scheduled by NBC though right? In my mind, since the same center sends out the bio notice my bio notice should arrive in the same time frame. It’s only been a couple of working days between us though so I will wait. But yea for sure understand about the interview letter which will vary based on the FO. I just wasn’t sure what is the appropriate time gap between my case and hailey’s case is an appropriate time to wait versus start checking in on Uscis.

Yes I am listed on the spreadsheet as shurn
Okay, so your ASC is not the same as the other applicant you were comparing your case to. Going forward, your comparison will largely need to be based on other folks in the same ASC and FO as you. The bio and interview schedule will be based on the workload schedule of your specific ASC and FO.

p.s. thanks for confirming you are already listed on the Timeline Spreadsheet. Using the same name in the forum and the timeline tracker makes it easier to connect your posts and updates.

Yup understood. Not sure why I changed it slightly on the spreadsheet. Must have been pretty late at night when I did that. Will edit it to match my username in the forum :)

Yes the NBC schedules the bio. They however take into consideration the workload of the ASC in question before scheduling and sending out the bio notice. Some ASCs are a lot more busier than others. They need to find an applicable open slot before sending out the bio notice, which means bio notices will not be sent out at the same time even if the cases were filed on the same day and the NOA got issued on the same day.

You will no longer be eligible to process via CP, the decision is final.
Of course we will be hoping that everyone gets long awaited GC :)

Does anyone know if this true for AOS based on DV ?
If USCIS denies your case, you may challenge the denial through the administrative and/or judicial appellate processes. In addition, you may generally stay in the U.S. while waiting for the appeal.
