Hi, Guys,

I am a silent viewer of this website everyday. I enjoy of getting so many useful information here. To my surprise, yesterday(July 12, 2004), I got approval notice directly with REF for me and my family. I am relieved suddenly of years of psychological burden. Thanks everybody. Hope you all get yours approval soon.

#81 wac03-148: I still can't believe ! WAC03-148 APPROVED !

At 12:04pm I got 4 e-mails (2 for me and 2 for my wife) saying our cases are approved !!!!!!! :D I checked the website and LUD is 7/15, it says our cases were approved on July 14th. This is really a happy day ! :)

I would like to thank a lot of people in this forum for providing us with so much help and useful information.

Thanks to Rajiv Khanna for providing us with this place to exchange experiences, to Kashmir, 140_takes_4ever, PCee, SillyMan, and many many others for their help during this long journey.

Approval received by e-mail today July 15, 2004. USCIS sent me the e-mail twice as if to say this is not a hoax. Accordingly, I was approved yesterday on July 14, 2004.

My wife is not approved yet due to her rescheduling of fingerprinting. But I am the primary applicant.

folks,

very glad to get approval notice yesterday in the mail!! My online status has not changed.

some history:
1. labor filed in 2001 sept and took 1+ years to clear
2. filed 140 in jan 2003
3. filed 485 in april 2003
4. got married in april 2004 and filed for wife EAD

Day before yesterday we got EAD approval for wife and yesterday we got 485 approval for me - so maybe there is some link here.

thank you for regular advice and hope when there was none. will stay on this forum and continue to give advice where i can in future.

i finally got approved. 4 and 1/2 years of torture ended today. Though I have my 3 EAD and 3 AP, never have to use it

thanks to Sillyman, PCEE, Kashmir, 140 etc. i am one of the first people to give donation to immigrationportal. i participated in all the mails and other campaigns. Worked with Dianne Fienstein's office 2-3 months back ( and I saw flurry of LUDs at that time), got my 2 FP ( and I moved at that time), did 2 nd FP 2 weeks ago (ahead of the time).

yesterday I got letter from Barbara Boxer saying that I should wait until JIT passeses my RD date and they can't expedite my case because of large volume of applications & shit...like BCIS WORKS first come first serve basis bla bla.

my LUD was updated yesterday but same old FP result matter. even this afternoon was nothing around 5 clock PST agot emails about approval.

Today I received emails from USCIS telling me that both my wife and my cases were approved and they mailed out the approval notice on July 14, 2004 (yesterday)!

This is a long journey, with a happy end eventually!

Summary of my case:

April 2002, I-485 filed
June 2002, fingerprint done
June 2004, 2nd fingerprint (triggered by my fax enquiry 20 days ago)
July 2, 2004, fingerprint received, case resumed
July 14, 2004 approved (probably triggered by my fax enquiry made on July 6th)

This board is very useful and thanks for all the people sharing information here! Best wishes for those still waiting!

#92 Who_Loves_BCIS: April 2002 case approved and some tips for panic guys

Both of my wife and my cases have been approved today (verified from phone and web site, also got Email notice), here are details:

EB2
ND: Mid April 2002 (wac02-160-xxxxx)
1FP: June 2002
3 EADS, 3 APs
2FP: Jan. 2004
NO RFE ( but my original file documents included 3 years W-2s and tax reports, and 3 month pay stubs).

Case updated on May 2004 (I guess it was due to cases that have been assigned to an officer)
Approved: July 14th, 2004
Last updated: July 15th, 2004

Just on this Monday, I called my lawyer to ask her if we need to send inquiry or ask Senate to check our case status since it was 2 months behind JIT. She said it was useless and just prepare to wait for 4 to 6 months because if your case was unlucky to be assigned to a lazy officer, it would take longer time. Therefore, I did not do anything. Apparently, my officer is not that lazy...
During this over 2 years waiting period, I worried about it a lot since my case is not that perfect: a very small employer, changed job twice before applying for Green Card, one H-1B with wrong name spelled, and some other "defects". It proves all these worries were useless. Especially on May when my friend's case was approved although his case was filed one week later than mine, I got so panic: checking my case status all the day, coming here to watch new approvals many times per day, and got even more panic because I saw so many later cases were approved. After one week, I stop doing this because I didn't want to be mad. Here some tips for keeping calm down:

1. If your case is behind JIT, just prepare to wait for another 4 to 6 months, so if it is approved less than that long, it is still a surprise;

2. Don't come here too often because other person's approval may drive you mad (once a week is enough);

3. Don't check your case's status on your working computer, otherwise, you will keep checking all the day and get panic;

4. It looks like BCIS appproves cases in a looser standard because we say very few cases are got RFE (although I already pushed my boss to prepare documents for it, no use this time, ha ha) on these days, so even if you don't have a job now or going to lose a job, it will be still got approved.

I am happy to let you know that my case and my wife's case have been approved on July 13, 2004.

I have received emails from USCIS to this effect and the online message and AVM also mention that we have been approved.

My thanks to all members of this forum, especially Kashmir, Vipsha, I140_takes_4ever, Pcee, Sillyman and many others who have made this forum one of the best to follow news from the USCIS. My apologies, if I missed out any person.

Yes, now it is my turn to donate for the donation on approval campaign. I will do so shortly.

On other news, I can confirm that the IQ tests of my manager came in negative. And that my job in the 3 years that it took for USCIS to approve my case from start of this process to end, (I140 took more than 1 year. My Labor was a substitution.) has turned into a McJob. And my manager spared no effort in giving me damning reviews wantonly. I have enough facts and figures to prove this in a court of law. Sometimes, I wonder if my next law suit should be against my manager :) Damn the suckers at USCIS.

During such time, trust me, not a day went by without me wondering if this was really worth the effort.

Thank you for lightening up my spirit during these dark days.

We just moved from CA to MA ten days ago. Mailed AR11 last week. Fortunately our cases are approved before AR11 was filed.
