Thanks for all the forum members for their contribution to the portal exp Kashmir, silly man, Pcee, I-140takeforever.

Had an appointment for I-485 interview at LA office on 07/09, 8.20 am, went there by 7.30. It took 30 min for security clearance, went to # 6001 by 8.00.

Immigration officer called me and my wife around 9.35 am.

She took the signature and FP.
She asked the following

1) What job are you doing in the company
2) How long have been with your employer?
3) How did you come to US?
4) Show your tax return? I showed w2, pay stubs
5) Medical Report
6) Marriage certificate
7) Driving license.
8) Show you Employers tax return (may be because our company is small)? I showed D6, Profit and loss, Bank statement, Our company information

Since she still insisted on tax return, I left USCIS by 10.00, then returned with sealed tax return by 12.30,

The officer called me around 2.30, took my passport and tax documents. She gave the stamped passport by 3.15. :) :) :) :) :)

I received an email from CIS this morning. My case was approved yesterday July 12. It has been a long journey but I am very thankful to God and to all the members of this forum for making the waiting period bearable.

Special thanks to Kashmir, Becky, ND022202, 140_takes_forever. I am sure there others who made great contributions that i am missing out.

I wish everyone who's still waiting the very best. Your approval is coming in Jesus name!!!!!

I received the 485 approval notices by mail but am currently in India on vacation. How much time do I have from the date of approval notice toappear at INS local office and complete the formalities?

Please let me know ASAP which will help decide my travel plans.

My I485 is approved !! I don't remember the exact RD but it's around mid Jan 2003. The online status changed and also received the email. Now waiting for an approval notice.....

No RFE
1st FP still on

Just got 4 emails from INS- 2 for each my and wife's cases,
stating that
"This case has been approved. On July 12, 2004,
an approval notice was mailed. ..."
Checked online status- reads the same...
Cant believe it- going for a really cold shower
and then will check again to make sure it is real,
and not a deceiving dream produced by my
desperate brain...

almost 2 years and 3 RFE's on 140 because of a dishonest lawyer,
hired my own for 485 after 3 months "fight" with the HR

Wish all of you guys fast approvals,
know many are still waiting much longer
than me, but keep the faith- they are
clearing the damn backlogs and I am
sure everyone will enjoy freedom rather
sooner...

We are 3. me, wife and lovely daughter...

I sent 2 rfe.
Final rfe was sent 14-june.
LUD changed so many times...6-24,25,7-1,9...

I took so many help this site.

Just got emails from US-CIS saying that my case was approved (WAC03118).

LUD 5/25, 6/24, 7/6, 7/7, 7/12, 7/13.

One weird thing though is that I am the derivative applicant and I was approved, however, my wife's case still shows the status as "On June 27th 2004....." Does anyone know of cases like this? Is it jus a computer glitch??

waiting for spouse's 485 to get approved soon too.

LUD: 6/29 (received fax reply for USCIS on 29th for our fax inquiry on June 17th) 7/2 (changed for spouse also), 7/13

Emails received from USCIS a few hours ago, Online status has been updated too.

RFE on Medicals to get Verialli done for my wife and Date of Birth Affidavit as last name was not expanded on the Birth Certificate.

DoB Affidavit got it done on a 15-rupee stamp in India.

Can't resist to see the approval letter..

Thanks for this Forum. This forum is used to help me in tracking what's going on based on the Kashmir statistics.

But trust me there is nothing you can do by campaigning, it’s all your luck. May be I am wrong
There is no evidence that a case was approved based on campaigning.

But being on this forum helped me morally a lot..

got my "welcome" notice by mail on 7/2 ..... amidst all confusion my attorney fixed up an ADIT appointment at San Jose on 7/9... the process was very simple and it took 20 mins of waiting and another 20 mins for the officer to fill out 3 forms (spouse and kid including), take FP etc and got it stamped...
but my online status changed only yday...

Finally our cases were approved (my husband and me) on 07/13/04.
I just received the emails (12.00 pm) and checked online as well and I can see the magic words!!

I have sent 3 fax inquires (1 -Level 1, and 2 -Level 2), 2 1-800 no. inquires (after the first one I didn't received any response, so called back after 30 days), plus two inquires to Donald Neufeld. My lawyer called CSC as well....

Dear friends,
Received an email from my lawyer, my case wac02-110-##### is approved. It is a derivative case, my wife got approved in May 2002. My application is added to her case after she submitted the 485 application (Oct. 2001). So I have to spend 2+ years waiting. ND Feb 2002. 1FP Apr. 2002. 2FP May 2004. The case disappeared since 7/5 and it is still missing now. I got a welcome notice last week, but the lawyer insists the notice is not OK for PP stamping, so I can only wait the real one.
Thanks this website for the support. I can not imagine how I can go through this process without checking the posts every day. Thanks the Moderator of this forum, Silly Man, kashmir, rk4gc, 140_takes_4ever, Leila Lehman. Thanks the active participates, ruxrux, kecky, … sorry that I can not name all the IDs. We shared a lot of sadness and happiness together. A lot of people stop posting after they are approved, but they left great messages here.

Received the magic e-mail this morning....."On July 14th this case has been approved" First started this process in January 1998. I-140 approved March 2002. RFE returned for ususal W2, Employment letter and Company TaxReturns (that was a bit sticky as never had 2002 & 2004, but lawyer wrote a letter of explanation). We remained out of status so were never able to leave the USA & return to England to visit family and friends. So as soon as that passport stamped booking a flight...........Oh Yeah Baby.
