In my case it changed to decision made after I sent my passport for stamping.. It varies.. and someone I know .. still says In Process.. even though he has landed.... the estatus cannot be used.... as an indicator.. atleast from my experience.

Received first letter-- July 02
Received 2nd letter-- june 26th, 03----Interview waived, medical forms received, additional info such as, current employer letter, pay stub, updated criminal check, landing fees and bank statement requested.

Visitors Visa for Parents

My parents have a multiple US visitors visa and the current I-94 is until October. Am thinking to apply for their Canadian Visitors Visa from Sept - Feb. Any suggestions on how best to go about it to avoid any denials?? I see on the form that they have to mention if anybody from the family has applied for Permanent Residence.

They had applied for Canadian Visitors Visa from India which will expire end of July.

Please share your experiences and thoughts. Appreciate it very much.

Ldmello: I agree the E-status is not reliable. I wish they would make good use of it or just forget and use their time to process the applications instead. :rolleyes:

Hi all:

I went to the police station yday and was told that they dont do immigration fingerprinting. I told them a few times that it is for canadian but that guy thinks he is smart.

So I showed CICs letter and he still claims that they dont do it. Can I do something about it ? Luckily for him, CIC has written that fingerprinting 'MAY' be done at most police stations. and this guy says tht his station is not one of them !

Any help ? (Can I sue them for not knowing their job :( )
 
Other places for Finger printing

You can do it from Some authorised Travel agents.

GC approved with out Interview

I applied FOr CANADA GC on April 25th. Reeived File # in Nov 2002.


To day i received my initial assessment with out interview.

They asked following documents
1) w2 forms
2) Employment Letter
3) Updated Finger prints

4) they mentioned that i need to provide them English assessment by a designated institution or oranization.

There is note in pen next to this saying that It is strongly recommended.

Does this mean that i Should take IELTS exam?

They sent medical forms and asked to send those in 60 days.

We have baby boy now. Do we need to send new application forms to include him in our GC? Do we need to do medicals for him too?

Please advice experienced gurus?

I have 76 points assuming that i score full points for English.

They also mentioned that Interview is not required at this time. IF the reviewing officer feels it is necessary they may conduct it.

Hi Ram,
Respoding to your queries, here is what I think based on my experience:
- I think they are unclear whether to award you full points for English, adn since you have 76 points-the margin for error is thin.So take the IELTS or CELPIP, which is easier to schedule.

- Since you ahve a baby now, you will have to fill foms for the baby, and send in medicals as well-inform CIC immediately.

I have 92 points and am currently working in Canada for the last 1.5 years.
