I think rb2002 is right. You have to wait for your file number first. Anyway your figerprints are valid for 6 months only. Once you receive your file number, you should try to get new figerprinting report as the one you have will be expired soon.

Hi Shamim,

I thought you were told to wait for 6 months before you do your medical. Is that right??

How come you decided to do your medical sooner. There must be a good reason. I am still confused whether to do it now or wait for 6 months before I dot it.

Please clarify...

I have not received my landing papers as yet. My case was finalised in March end when I recd the letter waiving the interview and asking me to get my medical done.

Did my medical on 30th April 2002.

Sent additional info like FBI cards, ROLF on 6th June 2002. Recd letter from them on 29th July regarding non receipt of the additional info requested. I sent them proof of docs sent, as well as the cashiers check encashed by them ..........on August 1st. Seems like they found my docs.

Recd letter from them asking for latest photos on 4th Oct which I sent to them on 7th Oct. Waiting ever since............

The irony of my situation is I have been checking my mail each day for the last 4 months in the hope of getting my landing papers. But now I am wishing I don't get them for another month coz I am going abroad for a month tomorrow and can't send in my passport if I were to receive my landing papers now.

Anybody sent their passport to Buffalo CIC

HI,

Can anybody please tell their experiences about sending the passports to Buffalo CIC, meaning which courier they used and how long did it take to get the passports back?

I sent mine thru FEDEX on 18th Nov and wondering how long will it take to get back my passport? I have to travel out of the country in the second week of Dec.

Sorry for the misunderstanding. I guess people after you (except dhaka101) in this tracker started getting notice for 6 month wait period before medical. Let us know when they ask for your passport for stamping. I guess now a days it takeing about 5-6 months for them to send landing papers. Good luck

Hi lonely_indian,

I think you have enough time to get your passport back. I think people are getting their passport back within 10-15 days. Sivak_c got his passport within 12-14 days. So dont worry too much, you will be alright. Start packing stuff....

Recd letter today asking us to send our passports for visa stamping. But I am travelling to India tomm and will be back by Jan 15th. But the letter states we have to send pasport within 30 days.......What do I do now ...........Somebody please reply
 
Same boat

I was also in a smiliar situation, but not so bad( I have to leave in 20 days). I tried calling the CIC, but they would not answer. I sent the passports, and am hoping to recieve them back, before i leave, otherwise will postpone my trip.
They have clearly mentioned in teh letter, that if we do not do send the passports, that they may cancel our case. I guess, it all depends if you want to take the risk. You could try sending them a fax, but still it is a risk, since they will not reply immidiately.

Do we need to send the landing fee along with the RFE ( Updated emp letter ,bank statement)? or can we wait till they make a final decision on the case. The letter said wait for medicals for another 6 months.
