Got my initial assessment
Sorry guys!! I was wrong in saying they are taking 15-20 days for each day, as I received a call from my wife saying that we received initial assessment of our case today (11/07/02), my AOR was 11/28/01.
They asked for my certified letter from current employer, W-2, Pay Stub, Updated FBI figerprints report etc. Needed to wait for my medical for another six months.

If any body applying for the first time. please do send your current updated status to Candian INS.When I applied , i was working as sub-contractor to a company , after a while the contracting compnay hired me as their employee. Immedialtly I informd to INS abt my status with latest H1-approval.
Please send all the documents time to time . So that it never delayed ur case. But now days they are taking lot of time on background chec, abt your employment.
Most of the companies saying that , refernce name should be ur manger. So I never gave my manger name I gave my company number abd list of HR people number with my employee_id. so that it will help them to inquire abt my employment.
So inform time to time which will avoid the delay, Offcourse don't inform them if ur OUT of JOB for while. That will put u in trouble

I am still in waiting mode, I haven't heard anything. I don't know what's going on.
They have not received all application on 11/15/01. They have released all the application that they have received in the month of september on 11/15/01. And now they are processing the applications that was received during 10/15/01. They are not processing one application after another, but it seems to me that if they complete background check and other processing for each application then immediately they are releasing their medicals. That may be the reason why some people have got their medical prior to other folks, eventhough their filing dates were different.

Hello Pkapur,
They say wait for the interview letter. I imagine they will ask me what documents to carry in that letter, perhaps the originals of the documents I had submitted with my application as I had'nt sent any notorized copies! (oops)
I am planning to go for the medicals only after I receive the interview letter just to be sure.

So you're planning on taking the medicals now itself ? Someone suggested to me that I should get them done in the next couple of months and then AGAIN after 8 or 9 months to be sure.
But I was wondering if we can do this twice on our own 'coz we may need that form A again for re-medicals, right ?

We have a newborn (9-16-02) and we're still waiting for the medical from A for her - we already sent the birth certificate, fees US$ 100 and the photo. We informed Buffalo that we're waiting for her Medical forms.
But the problem is: Our forms will expire in 11-29-02. The slow way the work, I think our daughter's papers and our information that we're waiting may not reach the person by 11-29-02.
Another thing is they requested refreshed FBI, Funds, Work Exp. and *** also some missing chronological work / residence history *** and did not do the background checks for that. I sent that already.
So, should we wait for our newborn's medicals or do ours? or do ours and sent her medicals later? How long the medicals are vaild?

Did you get the appointment for the Medical check, if not get one.
Usually there is a long queue for medical appointments.
Since CIC has already sent the medical forms, you should do complete your medicals without further delay, and also during the medical process let the Doctor know about your situation, so that when your daughter's medical forms arrive the doctor can expedite her medicals.
And also write a letter to CIC mentioning immediately once your daughter's medicals are done, so that they know explicitly.
Do not delay further.
