Applied june 24th 2002, Haven't got my file number yet

Folks,
I had applied on June 24th, 2002 and haven't got filenumber so far. I found couple of them got recently. I had moved to a different address and as I don't have a file number, I couldn't inform Canadian immigration. Will this be a problem?

Those who got filenumbers recently, can you please let me know whether the post is a certified mail or an ordinary mail?

Hi Guys,

I found out the exact date my medicals were sent to CIC.. the doctor sent it on July 15, 2002. I have been waiting ever since. I have sent them a fax 2 weeks... to inquire on the status....no reply. My online status is just In Process.

Any inputs will be appreciated.

PS: was told it would take about 52 weeks for assessment result...
:( meanwhile my receipt date read 07/06/02...would the 52 weeks be counted from this date or from 11/27/02 when I got the reply? thanks for responding.
 
When to do Medical?

guys, I have several question after receiving the initial assessment about 2 months ago:

1. The letter asked us for FBI police certificates, which has been 3 weeks, how long does it usually take?

2. The letter says we have to wait to do medical until 6 months from the date of the letter, so do we wait?

How long it takes after medical?

How long does it take for Passport request after the Medical is done?

CIC requested to do the Medicals within the 60 days (of 10/2/02) and I did my Medicals on 11/22/2002 and sent status not yet known from the doctors Office (but they said they usually mail within a week).

Now I'm worried on 2 things:
#1. What will happen if doctors Office do not send it on time. I failed to reach them after repeated trys. Will this be OK that I did my Medicals within 60 dyas even if it is not sent?

#2. My H-1B will expire on 5/22/2003. What options do I have open now?

i.e., my current employer"
- Updated bank statement


I have a question regarding the reference letter: what is called
a "certified true copy"? Does it mean a letter on paper with the
official letterhead of the company, signed by your manager, etc?

I got the assessment yesterday (12/03/2002).

Interview waived, asking for the following docs :

1. Police Certificate

2. Paystubs from current employer, USA W-2 and tax returns for the past 3 years.

Note, I have not been asked to submit a "Ceritfied True copy" of the letter of reference detailing my past and present employement. I also have not been asked for an updated bank statement.


And for the medicals, the exact sentence is :

"Do not complete your medicals untill 6 months from the date of this letter. If you complete your medicals too soon, you may be required to redo them due to their expiration"

I got assessment and medical forms yesterday (12/04/2002). The interview is waved; no additional documents are necessary now.
As most of assessments received lately, I have to wait 6 months before medicals.

Assesement Results

My ID is mbari


Yesterday i received medical form including the request of an interview. Told us that they have placed our file into a que awating to transfer to Detriot . approximately 7 to 10 months untill file is transfered.
Suggested us not to schedule Medical untill we get Intervirew appointment Date becaseu it can reduce the risk of Medical expiration before the process completes.

I hav two questions.

1)Since we sent our application we had one daughter we got her medical forms along with ours. but we got one more child in August 2002 we sent all of her document, Pictures including her passport photocopy but we dont have her medicaldocuments.
In the letter they say that dont send any documents and correspondece to us save them and take then to interview. Inform me any solutiuon

2) During this process we switched to our new address.
They sent letters at correct address but on medical forms still has old address is there any issue because if this.

Yesterday I have recd. my medical forms.

Interview : Not required at this time
Add.Docs. : Not required
Medical : don't do before six months.
E-status : was not showing up untill 12/04. No it says IN Process.

They are processing very slow. All new folks who just joined forum be patience. I know my case was delayed compare to other friends with the same application date. At one point I have thought that my file must have been misplaced. But finally I got the medial forms.

We welcome all the friends who have just joined the forum.

We have seen lots of updates in the Tracker list in last month. I request all of you that instead of updating Master tracker and posting it again and again everyday, we could plan to update "Master Tracker list" only once in a week (may be only on friday). All other daily tracker updates should be posted in the forum as individual basis.
Any one from us can volunter to update "Master Tracker List" on friday and he will summarizes and update that weeks individual updates in the master list.

This will help all of us from eliminating going through many pages for important discussions.

I am also updating this weeks tracker. No more master tracker update upto next friday. :)

This forum is the best way to track all of our cases, and share the knowledge and information what we have. Keep contributing and Good luck to all.
