    Missing I-797 for H1-B

I never thought of having the H1B letters of approval with me during the interview. Had they asked for them, I'm not sure if I would have been able to produce them. I'm sure they are somewhere in my files, but I'm not sure, it's been so long. The officer never asked to see them. In fact, the...

Went to update SS but they did not give any paper works

I just want to confirm that I also didn't get any paperwork back nor did I receive any confirmation letters. I did update my I-9 form with my employer a couple weeks later and I never heard a peep from HR after that, so they either filed it away and didn't bother with it, or they ran it and...

Anyone with a lawsuit against USCIS or thinking about a lawsuit (Merged)

I don't have anything to add other than I check this website almost daily looking for updates from you. I promised I wouldn't leave until I could post "congratulations cafeconleche" and I am sticking to my promise. It sounds like the lawsuit was the right way to go, I doubt that USCIS would...

You can actually find him on facebook and read his wall. It seems as if he is still in the US.

    Rescheduling an Oath

    1) No unless you have a travel emergency and you can't get a US passport in time before your flight 2) No, but you can ask. They'll most likely ignore your specific request. 3) As far as they feel like. They are probably already scheduling people for future Oath Ceremonies, so you will go back...

My interview today at 26 plaza New york, The worst day of my life!

The status will not change from "interview/testing" No need to waste time checking it or stressing about it. It will stay like that even after you naturalize. And don't worry, what you experienced is very standard, you will receive your Oath letter, just give it a few weeks.

Have interview date, can i get an earlier date.

The Orlando office has back to back interviews with multiple officers every single day. I would be very surprised if they would be able to reschedule you to an earlier date. They have probably given you the earliest possible date - first come, first served - and it wouldn't be fair to others...

    Updating DMV

You may want to check with your local DMV. Here in Florida they told me I need to go and show proof of US Citizenship and that they will then update my records. They know I had a green card, I have friends in law enforcement and they showed me how when they look me up, my A # still appears...

Questions I was asked at JFK airport.

I finally re-entered the US as a US Citizen a little over a week ago. I have never had a smoother and easier entry. My passport was scanned and returned to me with a simple "thank you, go ahead." No questions at all. I was pleasantly surprised as I was expecting at least a couple of...

N-400 possible interview issue - Passport return stamp missing

You have nothing to worry about. I had the same issue, just in case, I brought a print out of my travel itinerary and my ticket stubs to the interview. The IO didn't ask for them and he didn't say anything while checking my passport pages. I'm sure they have all your entries listed on the...

How reliable is USCIS case status after interview

Approvals don't come via the website, email or test. You will receive an oath letter in the mail. Like I said, the online status won't change again for N400 cases.
