First thanks a zillion for this forum which has helped millions like me in the last decade or so!!
Looks like the the journey that started some 10+ years ago has completed the first lap! The new journey with the citizenship begins now!! :) :D...

Looks like the my long journey of visa->green card->naturalization is almost over :) (knock.. knock)
I have my oath schedule at 9:30 am on Friday 6th March held at the new "INS" office build at "Irving".
Any of the December/January...
Interview
Congratulations on your interview.
I am on the exact same situation - Interview on 1/6 with Name change. Refer to my earlier posting on what the officer had jokingly mentioned ;)
Completed my interview!
Completed my interview yesterday. Here is my experience:
Interview time: 1/6/2009 12:55 PM
Reached the place at 12:30 pm, the entry security guard asked whether I carry a cellphone and mentioned it is not allowed. Hence had to go back to the car to drop it off. Went...
Did it work out?
Could you please post what happened? Did you get a letter to reprint? Did you go for the interview without the letter? If so, how smooth the process was?
Is is £200 Million acutally - then it's worth the risk!!
Just to let you know, if you are ever caught traveling on "Indian Passport" after having obtained the UK citizenship, you risk federal and legal punishments (including imprisonment for traveling on forged document!) from both Indian...
NOA - Interview Date Received!!
Nov/10/2008: NOA - Interview Appointment letter recd.
Jan/06/2009: Interview Date for me!
Didn't expect it this quick as the immigration time line for N-400 at INS website still says that priority date is Dec 2007 for Dallas.....
Thanks :)
I have had done rescheduling with my finger print (though not for N-400) before, it was not bad. Just that I was not able to get a specific date that I wanted - Got the FP rescheduled within 4 weeks.
Personal advice though - I would never would like to reschedule with INS just the...
Just to add to what SH1996 has to say about N-470, please keep in mind that you should have stayed physically for 1 continuous year sometime "after" you got your green card and "before" you apply N-470. Even a single day-trip to Canada breaks this rule
Any insights on the delay?
I have filed my N-400 on September 11th (didn't realize until sent!). Looks like the N-400 dates have regressed by 10 months.... Wanted to track people who have filed in the same timeframe. Is there any website (unofficial like the gctracker.com) where N-400 is being...
Hi Murali - This is Ganesh and I live in Frisco (Dallas), TX. I have just applied for N400 and thought I'll reach out to you after seeing your post. If you could drop a note would really appreciate it.
My 2 cents. Even though you manage to be here in US for a week or 2 before 180 day window, still you might have to face some tough questions during Citizenship Application process. So, it is probably better to get valid re-entry permit which would delay your naturalization process but is less...
Didn't fill out any form. Just told the officer at the port of entry that I've just move to a new address and asked him whether he could update the addres. He just wrote it on the Immigration Visa paper directly and also updated the system.
Hope this helps.
Cheers,
Ganesh.
