Hi I submitted my I-485 on Jun 1 and June 30 will be my biometrics. The normal processing time is 4 months from the date of acceptance. You are still within the normal processing time.
Keep me posted if you get your decision soon. Good luck!
A friend of mine is a pending asylum applicant with immigration judge. He wants to travel to canada for visiting his brother. He wants to know if Canada will issue a visa to an advance parolee. Do you guys have any info regarding this??
thanks.
Its totally your decision. It seems a little high for $2400 to write a rebuttal, but if you can afford it then it is worth it. Remember it is about your future life. So to you weigh the pros/cons if your rebuttal is granted then it is worth way more than 2400.
I would suggest you to contact pro...
Sorry to hear about your denial. But you have another equal chance in front of the Judge. You are right. In 20 days you will see the judge called Master Calender hearing and he/she will give you an individual hearing which could be in a year or something.
About your work authorization, yes...
-regarding your first question, if you are being represented by your attorney then you can ask your attorney to request asylum office to refer your case to IJ. Like I said it is up to AO discretion to either refer you or not.

By the way what was the reason...
Why it took you 2.5 yrs to get a decision? what was your country of persecution? I am afraid if mine takes that long its already 1 year since filing. and 11 months in interview.
I understand you can get an EAD. But what if you are in F1 status and after 150 days you get EAD thru pending asylum. My question is does it violate your F1 status to work under Pending asylum EAD? I am concerned if my case is denied will I still retain my F1 status or I will have my F1 revoked...
