should my son be GC holder for 5 years then apply for citizenship even though he is only 2 years
I am just trying to understand things little more here. I understand that for my wife she will have to be GC holder for 3 years and then file for citizenship (married to a us citizen)
will my 2...
My son born and currently living in sudan
My son is living in Sudan with his mother where he was born.
The problem is that I am currently not making much money to support the family in usa as I lost my job and having no luck finding new ones. I am seriously thinking of keeping them in sudan...
I got naturalized and would like to see if my son who was born 2 years ago is eligible for certificate of citizenship or will he just get a green card and have to wait for 5 years for us citizenship. The mother is NOT a USA citizen and I have applied for her green card already.
I just came from my interview and i was approved. My Ceremony is on the 5th of April. Simply it is a matter of luck I was not given hard time at all even though I have issue with days outside USA and I did not have all my ppts. Some ppl who went with me were given hell about travel and dates...
This is definitely not an easy task
I am nit sure if you can provide exact or even close to exact dates. I think you may want to focus on showing that you have filed taxes and maintained residence in usa
This might very well be normal situation depending on how busy your local office is. In most cases the local office refuses to accept transfer if they already have enough cases at hand which can case delay in your application.
That been said you still need to call USCIS and somehow manage to get...
Thanks very much for your reply.
I am from Dekalb IL 60115 so I guess this is still within Chicago suburb?
Am I correct?
I am less than an hour from Chicago downtown
I have been told that Chicago DO hands the oath letter right after the interview however I have also seen evidence to the contrary can my Chicagoen friends confirm one way or the other?
You should be fine. I do not think they care much about filling change of address as long as you do it for the last one.
Address is rarely an issue unless if you are trying to apply in a state that you have not lived in at all
I have a kid who was born overseas and I did not yet include him in my taxes however I have him listed in my n400 application. I saw on some of the posts that the IO asked for an evidence that the applicant has been actively supporting his kid to show the applicant’s good character.
My question...
I thought for passport you can get a samde day ppt provided you show a valid ticket and you visit the district main ppt office. San Francisco might be the main office for your area but you may just wanna call up a help number and verify. do not forget to get a ticket to get a same day ppt. That...
Verifying in the passport is very common in comparison to the computer. My friend mentioned that the IO had to do some search to come up with the data for a single trip so it was not simple matter I guess thus using the passport stamp is used often
Congratulations. I am only few weeks behind and will soon have my interview.
I am glad to see things are going good for almost every one in the interview. I had a friend of mine who was grilled over travel dates and the IO had to check travel dates for him on the system using the computer in...
There is not much you can do to ensure a readable fingerprint. Usually the FP officer will sanitize your hand or ensure that it is clean.
Keeping your fingers crossed will prevent you from getting finger printed so I will not advice for it :-)
Seriously there is very little you can do once you...
I am still not sure how the IO found out about your kids.
I know the names shows in the tax form but the question is did he ask you for it? Cause they usually just ash if you owe any taxes and that is it.
So did you volunteer the tax return paper???
sorry to ask but who did the officer find out about the 2 kids of yours? were they both listed in the n400??
did he ask for tax paper? or did you volunteer that info yourself? i think they usually ask if you paid all taxes and that is it.
