it is almost impossible to enter china with US Reentry permit because the person supposed to have the chinese passport. The only thing i can think of is to get a chinese travel doc, but they will keep asking you whynot using passport

i dont think the chinese embassy would issue a visa on RTD if you are chinese ( they assume you should have a passport)...and obviously you can not even show them RTD

thanks for all comments, i will travel to Japan by air canada, my first time to fly to canada, i have been to vancouver BC hundreds of times by ROAD using my green card, not sure if i need a transit visa to canada if i take air plane from USA-Canada and Japan-Canada sorry for any confusions...

i am gonna travel this summer, will travel through canada then flight back to the US, do i need a transit visa? i am a greencard holder now thanks

most of chinese, especially youth, do not really care about whether it is communist or capitalist in power, as long as the government could advocate itself to development of chinese economy, providing more jobs and social cares, most ppl in china are satisfied. its hard to think of china to...

well..i think it does not matter if you are GC holder or aslyee, if you wanna go home, you need a reason...this is what we have been discussing for years

well..not me..one friend lost his asylum GC, need to apply a new one...but...he never gotten an approval letter, so dont know what documents to send, he does not have the copy of lost gc either..
