Waiting Asylum decision

Hey friends, been following the chat for quite a while and red every page by page and it’s really helpful, my question is I had my interview recently and has been told to pick up the decision in 2 weeks from NJ office, I was wondering what the current trend is and if they are giving out decisions in 2 wks for real
Waiting for 9 months for my decision from Newark office.
But I was never told that I have to pick my decision in 2 weeks.
If they told you that during the interview and didn't call to revise this info, you probably good to go!

Submitted application Jan 2022 (Newark office)
Interviewed March 2022 (Newark office)
Moved to New York and did change of address in July 2022 (New York office)
Received EAD by August 2022
decision still pending
(Just requested FOIA)
_Now I’m like maybe I shouldn’t have moved? :( my lawyer told me don’t move and I didn’t listen.

Hi bro, any update on your status? I'm still stuck in biometric
Not yet, but I think it will take at least 90 days and plus 2 weeks to get any decision, not sure. just calculating according to research. mine was Feb 11, so it would be last week of May i can expect anything, if everything goes normal. what about you, did you apply for Ead yet, for Ead they will take i think 2 to 3 months now , for my EAD case i got approved in 24 days and received card in one week with 5 years validity.

Mine was Feb10. According to your research is it a good sign to get approval? Or nothing. I applied for EAD 10 days ago. Hope to get approval within your same time

I would file mandamus. 2 years for decision is too long. Gotta give them a nudge to find your case and properly review.

Updating my info:

I got my decision! Went two weeks after to the SF office, and it was ready! And approved. I applied in 2016 I had my interview this month. I picked it up. Something I was curious about before picking up my decision is if the information on the case tracker app and uscis would be updatedbefore or after picking up and it got new status AFTER luge 3 hours after I got my approval. I hope this information helps.
Hey how are you, did you call to the asylum office before going in person or your just went without confirming if the decision was ready?

Thanks!

A week ago, I received a call from the Newark Asylum Office, and they scheduled my interview just two days later. I have now completed my interview. The officer was friendly and professional. During some questions, I felt emotional but quickly regained my composure.
He requested additional documents related to my travel records. At the end of the interview, he told me to return in two weeks for the decision.
Now, I am feeling uncertain about the outcome. Has anyone experienced a similar situation? Any insights would be appreciated.
Hey how are you, is there any update to your case on the case tracker?
