Waiting Asylum decision

Today USCIS case status updated
Decision mailed
Checked EOIR, Referred to immigration court.

9 years waited for the interview , and then 3 months waited for the decision. Now case referred to immigration court . And master calendar hearing is in early 2026.

Pray for me guys.
Stay strong!
New York office has the lowest approval rating in the country.
Different story in courts with much-much higher chances of getting approvals. At least the infinite wait is over and you have a date at hand that you can play your life around.
Take care.

Did you apply back in 2016? Most likely this long timeframe difference made the officer think the situation is not the same in your home country as it’s been almost 9 years.

Updating my info:

I got my decision! Went two weeks after to the SF office, and it was ready! And approved. I applied in 2016 I had my interview this month. I picked it up. Something I was curious about before picking up my decision is if the information on the case tracker app and uscis would be updatedbefore or after picking up and it got new status AFTER luge 3 hours after I got my approval. I hope this information helps.

Congratulations enjoy with your new life
May I ask you what is exactly the new status after you got the decision? And what was your status after the interview and before the decision?

Thank you!! “Decision was picked up then changed to biometrics and then card was produced”. All in the same day a few hours apart

Here is the reason my claim denied.
Recent changes in country condition.
New government from 6 months ago. ( don’t like to mention country name here)

Actually it's not fair, because surely they have granted someone else from the same country before the circumstances of this country changed, only because he/she was lucky to have interview quickly. God bless you my brother, don't give up

May I file a form I-765 on the 150th day from the date I filed the asylum application ? or wait one day more?

A week ago, I received a call from the Newark Asylum Office, and they scheduled my interview just two days later. I have now completed my interview. The officer was friendly and professional. During some questions, I felt emotional but quickly regained my composure.
He requested additional documents related to my travel records. At the end of the interview, he told me to return in two weeks for the decision.
Now, I am feeling uncertain about the outcome. Has anyone experienced a similar situation? Any insights would be appreciated.

Was it a second interview?

Hi guys,
After filing a mandamus for a pending decision, they have now called me for a second interview. Where can I find more information about second interviews? Has anyone had any experience with a second interview?
