Waiting Asylum decision

Yes, but Asylum seekers are human beings. Any international humanitarian and human rights instrument protect them. The US has obligation to respect that and do the bare minimum. WE ARE ASKING IF THEY DON'T WANNA ALLOW US TO STAY, TO GIVE US TIMLY REJECTION!!! As long as Asylum seekers are with in US jurisdiction they deserve treatment not less or more then anyone within territorial jurisdiction. This is what the US owe to international community. Well, they say US lead by example for that matter lol. FYI, the US is signatory to the 1951 refuge convention. It is all about time one day you will witness the due process will apply for prolonged cases. But, for now in fact people given up on the US immigration system leaving the US to different country like Canada. Above all, its always good to recognize others pain!!
Yes, you are right and I completely agree with you. But the thing is we can’t do anything. When you are helpless and unable to do anything, it is better to be silent. We can feel the pain but what we can do. I waited for 8years and then approved.

First of all, USCIS not requested or forced him to come to US and apply for asylum. He came here and applied for asylum. If he couldn’t wait, he should have quit right away 9 years ago. They have hundred of reasons to prove their version. So please go ahead and do what you want to do. It’s his decision. Don’t waste other’s time and ask them what to do?
The US must comply with international laws. If they cannot process cases in a humanitarian timeframe, then they should tell asylum seekers from the beginning that they will have to wait 7 to 9 years to get (GC) if they are approved!!! The immigrant has the right to decide but not to put people’s lives on hold which is so inhumane. I personally sued the (USCIS) once and will continue to sue them if they keep me waiting longer than anticipated when it comes to N-400 applications citizenship. USCIS is one of the most inhumane federal agencies. They only understand the language of the lawsuit but nothing else. No one should have to wait years anywhere to have their cases processed! People lose family members, partners and financial assets because of the unknown wait times of USCIS! The entire process is unfair especially when they are processing new cases first. Where in the world do we live where the new cases are processed faster? Are we living in free country or in a banana republic where the newer cases are processed first? God bless America but the USCIS is the worst federal agency in this country. Period

hi. what did you do to get called by uscis in 8 years? Did your lawyer do something? ive been waiting for 8 years, how can I acceletate the process? ty

USCIS New York)

Hi Everyone, you guys are amazing here. Been reading this thread, and found a lot of useful info. Thanks a lot!
My timeline:
Oct 2015 - filed for asylum
Aug 2023 - had an interview (after 8 years, thank you USCIS New York)
Current status - "pending decision".
The lawyer sent an inquiry to USCIS about the case status - they closed the inquiry without sending a response. Outstanding service, gotta love USCIS....
Haven't started panicking yet since it's early, and I don't think I have the capacity for it cuz I'm over this nonsense... I'll try the avenues you guys mentioned here to get the decision after 6 months of waiting.
If anyone here had their interview at Bethpage NY, could you please message here? Curious about how long everyone is waiting for their decision in NY.

Guys, please if anyone can assist. If your decision is pending and i94 history is still showing does it mean anything?

I need guidance on renewing my pending asylum EAD. My EAD expires in 6 months , and my wife's EAD expires in 8 months. Can I renew both EAD'S simultaneously, even though my wife's EAD has 8 months left before expiration?

You should apply right now and apply for your wife after 2 months.
