Waiting Asylum decision

Guys honestly ive been waiting for decision just over 2 years. What is the Maximum one can wait guys? Im tired.

This whole process is terrible . I waited almost 8years for interview, finally got interviewed now waiting for decision 8 months now .
USCIS is the most inhumane federal agency in this country!!! they don't know how they are destroying people future by make them wait for these long years!!! such a horrible thing.

I applied earlier and got response in 15 days but didn't get any clue for decision.
I filed FOIA in 2017 for my pending asylum application and got a response only in 2019. Does anyone think filing for FOIA might have delayed the adjudication of my asylum application as the file was moved from asylum office to National Records Center? I filed for it because I was interviewed in 2014 and had not got any decision and someone suggested it to me.

Is it true that FOIA request delays a decision? If so, why is that?
I know some say because they have to physically pull your file to be mailed to the FOIA center, however I personally don’t think that is the case. I requested FOIA twice and while monitoring the process, each time the status goes from file requested to file received within a few hours which likely means that the file is not mailed to the FOIA center and rather it is electronically sent.
Can you please share your knowledge about this?
Same question. Can someone shed some light on this? My FOIA response came from Lee's Summit, Missouri, although the case was filed in Arlington. Does it mean my file was physically sent to Missouri? If yes, how soon was it sent back to Arlington? Just FYI, FOIA request was made in 2017 and received response in 2019. I am worried this might have delayed the adjudication of my asylum application although it was pending for 3 years already after the interview at the time of filing FOIA.

No, FOIA request doesn’t affect your case because as per constitution, you have right to request. Such type of cases have some special sort of issues which might need more investigation and inquires. In 2014, there was no LIFO, Nbacklog, No CoVID-19 and usually they used to send the decision within a month. It means there was something serious in your cases.

Why you didn’t sue them? Sorry but it’s your mistake to keep waiting and wasting all of this time you just could sue them and get a decision in 60 days

My question is whether FOIA request which might have caused the file to be moved away from the asylum office caused delay in adjudication of asylum application?

Already told you No. Why are you curious about file. This is there internal matter. Your case is approved. That’s it. It was your mistake and fear that you wasted your time in waiting. But now when everything is done. Forget about past and see ahead.

Guys, when I applied for FOIA in 2017, I got a response 2 years later in 2019 in the form of a disc mailed to me and it contained only my asylum application (12 pages) with small corrections/ammendments in address, phone number etc. and check marks from the officer but no comments or assessment and the decision portion was empty, although the interview had taken place in 2014. What to make of it? Why it took 2 years for FOIA and why in the form of a disc? I read people getting the response online and in a few days or weeks.
