I called UCSIS and they told me that the case need to be reviewed by an officer and approved. It seems name check has already been done.

What exact question did you ask? I've just reached TSC and asked about my case status. A rep told me to check the status online and added that they didn't have any other information. The only question the rep asked was about my RD.
I assume I have to re-phrase my question. ;-)

I just called with above instructions. it worked. she asked me for A number and told the status of namecheck. nothing more ...why & When & all...

Rep: Hello, this is Texas service center operator. How may I help you?
Me: Hello. Can I find out the status of my pending application, please?
Rep: Did you check your case status online?
Me: Yes, I did.
Rep: What does it say?
Me: It said that my application was received and nothing else. Can I find out the detailed information?
Rep: What is your filing date?
Me: Aug 29th
Rep: (immediate answer)Then you have to wait. We don't have any additional information regarding your case. As soon as anything changes, you'll see an update on the web-site.
 
Some peolple have had success by calling senators/congressmen, or going the WoM way. But in your case it's not been pending that long, so you'll have to wait I guess. This is really unfortunate - from PBEC blackhole to NC blackhole...

In my (humble) opinion, I wouldn't ask for the status of your case - I'd ask "Can you please let me know if the security checks - finger prints and name checks - have cleared". That's what I did and it worked for me. Again, you may need to call a few times.

They have told me that they could not provide any information except the case status (pending, approved, denied), but a rep has looked up in the file at least.
However, I'll try tomorrow. ;-)

EB2 applicants - where are you?

The following people with EB2 LC got approved from PBEC between Feb 1 and Jun 1 this year. I am assuming they had sufficient time to file 485. here is my case info:
we submited 140/485 on June 20 and 140 was approved on Aug 1. 485 is still waiting (last LUD 10/11, 10/12, no msg change)

I wife just e-filed her EAD application (I-765). We have a pending I-485 with FP completed. I am unclear if I need to send any supporting documents?

arydk....yes you have to send supporting documents......and you will also have to go for biometrics i think....(not sure though)

i would not worry about that....recently few people have been approved within a month...that means namecheck just took 2 days....they got approved 5-10 days after FP.........its totally random..

Yes, she will have to send supporting documents and will have to take an appointment for biometrics from the phone number mentioned in e-filing receipt.
I hope, her case goes to same service center where your I-485 petitions are being processed.

My I-485 is pending for more than 6 months... and i would like to expedite in the name check process in all possible means... can you pls give me more info the "WoM way" ?

Before regarding my LC, I contacted my congressman (NJ,Democrat) which was stuck in PBEC. It helped. So, i want to do the same this time also and also other possible ways...

Yes, she'll have to send the supporting doc's (don't forget the copy of ID) and make an appointment for biometrics. If she ever had an EAD, she has to send it too - otherwise there will be an RFE and a 2-months delay in processing.
