TSC Consolidated 485 Tracker

I applied to I140 alone and it ended up in TSC. now that i wana apply for the i485 and ead and the AP, i know that I should send the papers to NSC. but my question is , where my i485 package will end up? will it go to TSC or there is a chance that it stays in NSC?

I read about the bisepcialisation program but they after 7/24/2006 they r not mentioning that i485 end up in the same center as the one of i140. pls advise.

I485 approval

Folks,
My I485 got approved today. My case details are as follows

Concurrent application I140 and I485 submitted to CSC on 11 Jan 2006 under EB1 outstanding researcher category.
Both I140 and I485 moved to TSC on March 29 2006

AP and EAD approved on Feb 23 and March 7 resp.
I140 approved on June 19 2006
I485 approved on Sept 7 2006.

Which countries do I not need a visa for travel when I get the green card?
Thanks
Raj

Congratulations with the approval!!

Only USA. The green card does not change anything else, since you will still be travelling on your old passport.

Well, this isn't completely accurate.
AFAIK, Canada and Mexico would let a person with a GC in even if they are national of the countries that otherwise require a visa.
Also, in Europe there is Switzerland that lets the GC-holders in without a visa.

I took mine at Costco and I didn't had any problem.

You need to say that it is for an immigration purpose.

ZB, thank you for sharing the RFE information.
I guess I have the same problem. I used to take passport photos in Walgreen. But this time I took in COSTCO. Do not know why it does not work!

I guess just like everybody else got LUD on all my applications (inluding all the long approved ones - EAD, AP, I140) yesterday.

Luckly you. I have not seen any LUDs on either of my approved EAD or I140 since early July.

Thank you, RJ_NJ2002.
I think it also depends which officer process the case. Some are picky on these tiny things.

Hi alex,
well I was tired of waiting (although it had only been 8 months or so since filing the I-485). But it was actually through this board that I was moved to action. You recall that Manish asked who had their namecheck cleared. That led me to try to inquire with TSC a couple of times and got different answers from different people (don't we all know that?). I had also read that the congressman seems to have access to designated people at the service center. By the way I had also tried to reach one of the senators' office but after 10 phone calls and never reaching the designated person there I gave up (it seems it is easier to reach someone at the service center than at there).
Anyway, my congressman's office contacted the congressional liason at the TSC and the person was able to tell us that the namecheck was current, FP were current and my PD was such that a GC was available, so he didn't see a reason this case shouldn't be approved. He wanted to forward the case to an officer for these congressional iqnuiry cases and I should wait 30 days. Well, after 25 days I had the approval.
So, did I think it helped? Heck yeah it did.

So, in hindsight - if it hadn't been for this board and the useful information here, I would most probably still be waiting. Thanks you all.

Congrats! Is there any particular reason why you involved the senator in this case? Did it really help?

HI,
Would you mind sharing with us what number you called to check your name check and background check status?
How long did you wait to call TSC after you filed your I-485?
Thank you very much!!!

My PD is April 2002. My labor came out of DBEC in March 06. I am lucky to be in TSC. They are really fast and service us better than other centers. I even called them in July and got to know that my name check was still pending but all else were clear. Good luck..

HI GC_2006,
Thank you very much for your generous sharing. I have a question about the congressman. Did you contact with the House of Representatives office in your district(state where you live)? or the Texas Congressman?
Thanks.
Since all the I-485 cases are sent to either NSC or TSC. Do you think people from outside of Texas should contact their onw Congressman or Texas Congressman?
Thank you very much!

AP RFE

My AP RFE is for a clear copy of my driver's license. Did you guys attach it for your AP application?

How about I485? Is driver's license a required document for I485 application?

Thanks your reply.

I did not. USCIS or your lawyer gone crazy ?

As far as I know, USCIS never asked for driver's licence. Hope your lawyer is telling you the truth.

Latest 485 Processing Date

Service Center Processing Dates Posted September 08, 2006
TSC: 03/08/2006

Move forward almost 4 monthes compared with the processing date reported on 08/28/2006
USCIS has improved the reporting procedure for processing times of immigration benefit applications again?

To void RFE, it's good idea to send COLOR copies of Driver's License, Biography Pages of Passport, latest US Visa Stamp for I-140 and I-485 applications.

Based on experiences, lawyer might suggest sending those when filing the applications.
