TSC Consolidated 485 Tracker

gc 2006 and everyone whose case transferred to TSC from CSC

It was not easy to reach TSC at all because I had to wait for nearly half an hour, to say the least.

As to the possibility of reaching TSC by providing your WAC receipt number, I managed to do so once on May 12 while attempting to check out the status on my transferred I-140 petition. (I received email notice from CSC on March 22 that the case was transferred to TSC on March 21, but had yet to hear from TSC about receipt of the case.) The representative refused to provide me with the status info, saying that my employer needs to contact the Service Center for such info instead of me, though. I am certain that I spoke to a TSC representative at that time.

Actually, I used the following dialing instruction I learned from this forum:

1. Dial 1-800-375-5283
2. Select 1 (for English)
3. Select 2 (for case that you have already filed)
4. Select 6 (to check on the status of your case)
5. Select 1 (if you know your receipt no.)
6. Enter Receipt No.:
7. Select 1 (if your receipt number starts with SRC)
8. Select 1 (if receipt number entered is correct)
9. Select 3 to continue to the next step
10. Select 4 (filed several related cases together) to speak to a TSC representative

Good luck!

Michael

Next time keep your sarcastic comments to yourself, if you can't do any good for other members of this forum. I had filed my LC under EB3 in early 2003, while I was on L1B and after it got stuck in a Backlog center, I had no choice but to look for other options, thats when my company filed for L1A, which makes me little more fortunate than other guys who don't have any other option but to wait for their LC cases to be approved. But that doesn't make me less suffered. 3 years of wait just for your LC is not fun. To make the matter worse, I don't have the liberty to change employers, like you guys on H1B do. So, next time keep your filthy mouth shut, unless and until you know what you are talking about.

manish,

Don't try to act smart. My words were never abusive but you are coming hard way now. I am here in the forum for last 2 years and I am aware of the rules and procedure about USCIS. I think you do not have any work than just to write on forum.

I am not here to argue you. You only one time said call USCIS and then in another post you said you don't want to encourage everyone about name check after few posts by old members.

Don't get excited unnecessarily. You are thinking as oversmart!!!!

Thanks,
neargc

There you go.. So please stop discouraging people to call. Everybody has right to Information.

I think the people who discourage people to call USCIS is saying 'do not abuse this service'. Call them if you do have some concern, but eliminate the call if it is not necessary. That will save this service be useful for all of us. We already suffered enough, do not create un-necessary stress on ourselves. I mean do not ruin the only information line available to us.

I think once you know your name check is cleared, only time it make sense to call is after the process date reaches your RD. Otherwise it doesn't make any sense as they will not be able to provid and new information.

Lud 07/20

Just noticed I got an LUD today :) Someone is touching my case. No message change though. Any guess what this LUD is about? :D People, stay calm, we are getting there...

To All,

It looks like FP/Name check is initiated after 2 weeks once you file your I-485. Then it takes 60 days for majority of name check cases to be processed. So it is advisable that we may call after 2 1/2 months since I-485 is filed.

If GC approval comes before that then that's a bonus. But I think we all can wait for that much time as we have waited already for 4-5 years. Calling before makes you more anxious in all senses, think!

Thanks,
neargc

Michael,
I was successful on the 2nd attempt today - within 5 minutes wait time even.
Yes, I did as posted here:
9. Select 3 to continue to the next step
10. Select 4 (filed several related cases together) to speak to a TSC

However here's the trick. When I initially entered my WAC# it connected me to CSC. The person was very friendly and said it had been transferred (duh).
He tried to help me contact TSC and admitted that the 800# system is poor.
Anyway, I then dialed again and switched the WAC prefix with SRC and then my number (it did even exist...). That way I was connected to TSC and a lady picked up. She was not really friendly and while she first said she couldn't tell me about security check she said it was still pending under review and the last time that did was 7/14 (I also saw LUD on 7/14 & 7/15).
At least that's some answer.
So basically the prefix determines where the system connects you to...

485 receipt has no priority date

I rechecked my I485 receipt, the priority date column was not filled. Does any one have such experience? Should I call the customer service?

Thanks.

More info on LUDs.

Thank you all.

I started keeping track of LUDs after fingerprinting, since, honestly, I was bracing myself for at least a 6 month wait. I really don't know what happened before that.

LUDs: 06/20/2006 (the day of FP), 06/22/06, 07/08/06 (I140 approval on 7/10), 07/19/06 (I485 AD)

Cheers.

"But a reduction of service due to high volume of calls is an absolutely realistic scenario" is a MYTH. They just don't want to work. Taking phone call is a work. So they try to avoid it. Few years back, 485 approval date was 2/3 years away. Today it is just 6 months away. Do you think that is due to volume of calls.

When they actually process cases is not due to the volume of calls. The fact that they stop volunteering the information out (they really do not have to do it) is due to the volume of calls.

Do you think that your pestering will do anything to your case? It only affects your anxiety.

They have actually, factually, whatever you choose to believe it or not, modified their procedures due to people filing WOM suits, pushing on them through senators etc. And the change was NOT helpful.

Congrats!
An LUD on 07/08 ?
I too got as many others.
So, really does that mean .... yeah ?

Congratulations! That is pretty fast.

I had an update on 07/08 too, but nothing so far. So it seems to mean differently for different people.

Glad that you managed to speak to a TSC representative at last! Did she tell you if your fingerprints were cleared at least? I believe FBI probably returned the results the same day you did your fingerprinting at ASC. If you like, you can easily find your FP clearance status by simply calling FBI at 304-625-2000.

Needless to say, your I-485 would be processed now if security checks were completed. Hopefully, everything will be cleared for review in a week or so if not overnight.

Good luck!

Michael
