count me in-July 06 RD

Saw LUD yesterday and today (most likely due to my inquiry filed a month ago), no change of information.

Approval

Hi All,

Just received love letters. For me, spouse and child:

> Application Type: I485 , APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE
> OR TO ADJUST STATUS
> Current Status: Approval notice sent.

My 4yo has not done FP yet, but her case was approved anyway. I guess they don't care about FP and photos for minors that much.
My short story. Filed my first TR LC back in the beginning of 2000 in TSC. Stuck there. Refiled RIR in 2001. Got laid off in the beginning of 2002. Moved to California. Filed new RIR with CSC in the end of 2002, stuck in BRC. Filed PERM in 2005 that finally went through. I-140/485 RD is 04/07/2006. Stuck in NC for about 11 months.
Before the approval I got LUD yesterday on my and spouse's cases.

Thanks everybody for the help and support! And good luck to those who are still waiting.

How did ytou came to know that your Name / Back ground Cleared ??? Please let me know that will be greatly appreciated.Thank you.Have a good one.

Raj

I was lucky to be told by the cust rep (twice)..once in August and then in Nov.

Also once the applicant opens and enquiry after 6 months of filing; they send a letter

If RFE normally they send is within 2 months or atleast after enquiry is open.

In the enquiry response USCIS normally convey if Background check is pending or RFE response is needed.

Else there is a standard reply that the case is pending and/or under review.

only sometimes they will reply that due to unavailability of VISA (but this happens toward the end of the year when all the VISA numbers are exhausted)

3 months: 1 person
4 months: 2 persons

13 months: 1 person
17 months: 1 person
24 months: 1 person
26 months: 1 person
30 months: 1 person
54 months: 1 person

Which seems to say there's a good possibility of getting approved within 10 months or so. Of course, this is only for people who actually got approved. The statistics for those waiting may tell a different story.

Thanks for providing this nice summary. I guess no matter how much USCIS keeps emphasizing that they are trying to get their applications processing down to 6 months, the reality is quite different.

Congratulations Alex! What a break.

I wish I'd have a chance to tell my whole story too, in the near future, which is pretty dramatic as well :)

Enjoy!

I'm basing this entirely on observation and speculation, but I am wondering if there is a preference within TSC to process EB cases for which there is a primary and dependants first, before moving on to single applicants. It just seems that a lot of the approvals lately and those that were done quickly were for applicants that had dependants tied to their applications. I wonder if this might be because it is easier to reach a "quota" per month if 2-3 green cards can be approved assuming the primary applicant is approved.

Congrats!

Congrats Alex!
Wow! what a story? Mine looks so trivial in comparison. Good luck in the rest of your career.

Mine is May 25,2006. RIR EB2, struck in security check.

Initiated inquiry(just talked with customer service (not TSC) in Jan 2007, and received this letter from USCIS dated Feb 16,2007 with these words

" The processing of your petition/application has been delayed. All Petitions/Applications recevied by this Services are required to have routine secuity checks that are resulting in delaying the adjudication of petition/application. We can give no definate indication of when they will be completed. We apologize for the delay

Also, I got Biometrics ASC appointment notice for my child for March 24, 2007. Is this a good sign?

No LUD since 07/29/2006... same status no change..

God knows when... I will get some update.

Any advice or suggestion???

rks2007
RIR -EB2 India
AP/EAD approved, received, now re-applied as well
I-485 May25,2006, LUD 7/29/2006....

apparently kid finger print is a sign of approval, all those who got it within the past month got approved this month. If you get one, be happy:)
