Submitted RFE recently and waiting for approval

My FP was in July/2003. So it has not expired yet.

My wife's FP was in Jan/2003. She is yet to get one yet.

Do you guys know of any case ever when a person has been approved when his fingerprints have expired ?

peter:

I called 800 number and they said the same old thing as "we are processing feb'02 case.. and I should be patient blah blah blah..."When I asked how come spouse got FP2 and not me she goes with another standard thing "each case is unique...." Wasted 45 minutes on phone waiting.. but had to do it for my satisfaction..
By the way she said that 60 days after RFE response is for them to process the documents sent and not to adjudicate the case!!

Whatever....

GRCA-2002,

Thank you for your information. Did she explain to you where they send documentations to? To the Mars or to the Hell, why it takes them so long time, 60 days to sent documents? These idiots.

Last time when I called, I was told they were processing September 2003 case, I am assuming she was talking on Detroit, because she asked me where I was, after I told her my RFE received by CIS on May 27, she said : wait 60 days for officer to process your case, if you haven't heard any news after 60 days, then call this number back.

Most of time we knew our efforts are useless, as you said just do it for our satification, but I will give it a try.

I believe that you will get your second FP soon!

mi2004,

I never got my 2nd FP, have you?

My RFE is on 5/10/04 and reply was received by INS on 06/01/04 with first FP on mid of December. I got 2nd FP notice just few days ago and it mentioned that my FP is expired so I need to do it again on mid of August. Don't worry and you should get it soon!

Hi Guys,

Got my approval. Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!.

Please visit http://boards.immigrationportal.com/showthread.php?t=134569 for full details.

Concise details:
I485: 7/02
FP2: 4/04
RFE: Generated 6/25/04, replied and recd by CIS 7/8/04
I485 Approved: 07/14/04 LUD 07/15/04

Good luck to you all too for a quick approval.

As I wrote in that thread, I think an immediate response to RFE is always treated favorably. My RFE response was received by USCIS within 7 working days from the date they generated the RFE. So I guess the file was still on the desk of the adjudicator and he/she had no other reason to delay approval.

Another trend that I am noticing is that if you get your 2nd FP done before your RFE, then your approval comes faster than vice versa. I don't mean to discourage if you got RFE and then 2nd FP. Just my personal observation.

I just got a email from USCIS that they sent me another RFE on July 14. Previous one was on March 27. 2 RFEs, too wired. Anyone had such experience?

I am not so sure the above. A couple of friends work for the same firm; both couples received the RFE at the same time. The company sent its responses at the same time. One couple had just got their second round of FP done prior to the RFE. To date their cases are yet to be approved whereas the couple who did not get the second FP notice have had their cases approved.

The RD for the above two cases is April 02.

I doubt whether there is a logic to the order of processing.

Good luck to the folks in the queue.

My RFE was generated on 6/28 and I replied it immediately. Status says RFE was received by NSC on 7/9. I saw LUD change for three days i.e. 7/12,7/13 and 7/14 but no status change. Now thats where it is i.e. LUD 7/14 and status says 'we receievd the respone to RFE on 7/12.

Let us see whats next.

yannahalli,

the example you quoted strenghtens my guess. See my assumption was made on the premise that all items including the FP must be current and accurate - except for the item requested in the RFE. if its so, then as soon as you send the reply you get your approval.

The second person you mentioned did not get a 2nd FP notice, that means his FP were current enough for approval without a need to generate a 2nd notice. That is why he got qucik approval.

Again as I said, its just a assumption. There is no logic when it comes to INS/BCIS/USCIS. :)

ssmk, if my guess is right then you can expect approval withn 5 working days of the rapid date changes - so by 07/23. Good luck. :)

ssmk,
LUD changed three times is a good sign. You should get your approval very soon. I agree with Srirangam that you will be approved this week. :)
