I will keep posted with any developments. Feel free to post any questions..

GOOD LUCK TO YOU ALL...

...

I too see the light, but my case was worse....I was in the INS tunnel for 5+ years (since June 1999), and it took 33 months for I-485!

Peterwang60,
My RFE was for different things,
1.Employment letter
2.Birth cert affidavits
3.Documents to show the proof of continuing marital status(Lease, joint acct)

thats' all

I replied to RFE on which was received by INS on 29th June after that there is no update in the case Just tells RFE received.

Details
******
ND : July 13th 2002 LIN02234XX
2nd FP : April 24th 2004 (Results updated on website)
RFE Received by INS: June 29th 2004 (Birth Certificate, Copy of EAD, Proof of Mairrage)

My question is that I replied the RFE in simple envelope (I understand INS sends a Envelope in which We have to reply to RFE) but my lawyer told that no envelope was sent by INS. Is it ture that they always do not send the envelope and does it affect the processing.

Now I am getting all sorts of doubt as to what might be holding the case from being Apppppproved.

Anybody has similar situation

Why there is a range of dates, don't you have an appointment date on the notice?

AD : 08/25/2004.

Thank You

Peter Thanks for your Wishes.

I hope to see you get an Approval at the earliest, wishing you all the best.

naamuthi,

Thank you for your wishes. Take some day off and have a relax vacation! May be have a visit back to your home town. That's my plan if I get approved.

When you got your 2nd FP notice, did you get email from CIS or did they update the online status on your case? or you just received notice letter without any email/update?

I contacted to John Dingell's office, they sent an inquiry to NSC on my case, and the response said my finger print expired till date, and they would schedule an appointment for me for 2nd finger print. But don't know when the schedule would be. It's sucks.

Have a nice day!

Peter

Peter,
Thanks for your comment.
I should have taken the day-off today, but I was stuck with something important at work.

2nd FP: Unfortunately I did not register in LUD at that time. So I never got any email, I directly got the 2FP notice in the USPost, My wife got it first and 3 days later I got mine, but both were scheduled for the same day (July 1st).

After my 2FP I registered my email address in LUD, and then on the 8th of July, I got my first email from LUD stating that my Fingerprints were received.

And the second Email was about Approval.

Feel free to post any questions, that I might have answers for.

I do agree with you on the stupid and idiotic process of 2nd FP. Why don't they send an automatic 2 FP notice to everyone whose 1st FP already expired, I don't think this involves any great effort from their side.

We should have gotten our approval if our Finger prints were current back in May.

Luckily I got the 2nd FP notice and you Didn't, I hope they send you the 2nd FP and then an approval.

Wishing you all the best.

naamuthi,

Thank you for your reply and your wishes.
Let's see if I could get my 2nd FP notice next month or nor.

Have a nice day!

Peter

Still waiting

My wife's RFE(proof of status) respnose received by USCIS on 8/13/04. We are still waiting for her approval. She did her 2nd FP on 5/15/04. LUD 8/13, 8/16, 8/17, 8/18, then nothing. I noticed most people get approved within2-3 weeks after RFE replied. Should I be concerned?
BTW, I'm the primary applicant, my case was approved in June, 2004. We applied together.
RD/ND Aug 2002

I got 2nd fp notice last weekend but my wife didn't, need to go to Detroit office tomorrow morning. Will post detail.

I-485 RFE Responded by no online status update

My I-485 response was sent by my lawyer via FEDEX at this address:
US Department of Homeland Security
US Citizenship and Immigration Services
Nebraska Service Center
850 S Street
P.O. Box 82521
Lincoln , NE- 68508

On Nebraska Service Centre website it is written that sending the response to this ( P.O. Box 82521 ) address might delay the processing of the case.

The RFE was received on 08-22-2005 but the online status hasn't been updated yet with the "RFE Response Received" message. Can someone please clarify after how many day of receiving the RFE Response does the status gets updated by NSC.

Thanks

IL_Labor,

Did you enclose your RFE response in the envelope provided by USCIS? I sent my RFE reply on Aug 10th and the website was updated on 11th and I got notification on 12th.

Sometimes, their computer systems are messed up too. Keep the FedEx tracking info.

i don't know about that , because it was sent by my lawyer. But i saw that status update yesterday night. Almost 5 days lost. I think sending RFEs on the courier delivery address delayes the processing or as you said the lawyer might not have put it in the rfe response envelope..
