September - Visa Revalidation Tracking

Guys,
I talked to the washington office today morning, my visa has been approved on 3rd dec. I checked the fedex tonight, still passport has not been picked up. I'll keep you guys posted once i receives my passport.

Hey guys,

when u talk to DC office do they give u the fedex tracking number ?? Lst Monday when i spoke to them they said my application was sent back, due to invalid photo. They mailed it on Nov 28th , i haven;t received it so far. Can i call them ask for the fedex tracking number??

Update - Sept 27th case not yet approved

I just now (6:15am PST on Dec 5th) talked to DOS and the lady mentioned that my visa has NOT yet been approved. I sent my documents along with my spouse's documents for both H1B and H4 revalidation. I am hoping they will approve my case sometime today or early next week. My DC date is 27th Sept.

My state senator office is following up my case and visa office assured them that I should get my passport around wednesday next week.
Now I have to track it in FedEx every couple of hours until I get it.

Pardon me for asking the same question again and again but how are u guys getting the fedex tracking numbers. Does DC office give u the tracking number when u call them??

The mail carrier (FEDEX/UPS/USPS) that you choose will give the tracking number...

Did you attach a return Fedex envelope along with your application?

If you did, you would have the tracking number of the 'return fedex envelope' at the time you send it.

If you did not attach a prepaid return fedex, then Dept of State sends it thru USPS and u dont get a tracking number.

For Visa issue

I called today to know whether my visa is printed or not then officer told me your visa is issued today so it is in printing line and it will print today but yesterday when I was calling then they said , my visa is approved but not printed so what I understand, after approval, they issue visa for printing.

I am sorry to hear that your passport is not approve but did you take photo in US or you use indian style photo ?

As of today, the DOS is dealing with WA date of the 27th of Sept. The only thing is that there are a lot of applications for this date.

I need to travel on the 17th Dec and the woman seemed confident that I will get my passport by that date, but asked me to call back on the 9th or 10th to get a more accurate picture.
 
hi all,
i called the DOS today and the lady said that they were working on the 27th cases. Due to high volume of passports, it could take as long as late next week or sometime early the week after.

Im just hoping that I get the news on whether it has been approved, so that I can wait for it to get to QA/Printing.
And I have a ticket for Dec 26th.....

I called DC today and they said they did not issue my visa and have sent back all my stuff. The lady over the phone read out the reason as "Request for detailed employment information". I have no clue what that means. Iam still waiting for the fedex package.

Will update more later.
