Looks the employment letter that you sent is not enough for approval. You may have to send a comprehensive employment letter from your employer.

yes immisanjay, they need detail employment letter which include your position and company detail description so work with your HR for getting the detailed description. If you have any confusion, let ,me know, I will send you the format.

Hi Sep26th DC date guys---

My dates are as below.

SL date: Sept4th
DC date: Sep 26th
Approved: Dec 3rd
Printed: Dec 4th
Shd see its tracking in fedex today.

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

My marriage date is Dec 14th
and my flight ticket is on Dec 10th

If i see fed ex tracking today , then i can make my marriage
Otherwise havt to postpone it.


I am very anxious to see my PP tracking info....

Hi Kota,

congrats for your marriage , call fedex and ask them to deliver it by next day server and pay their price. I am sure, if they send it today, you will get it by tomorrow and you can go for your marriage.Mine will be also printing today .

WHen usually FEDEX picks our PPs from DOS visa office.

Can u pls tell , for ur Passport , at what time(like 2pm , 3pm or what pm??) they picked.

Because based on that , i can judge whetehr i will receiev my passport in time or not.

Not approved yet.
But when i called up today, the DC visa officer said that they are processing Sept 26th cases as of today....and i can expect my approval next week.

But the msgs in the forum show that Sept 27th cases are being processed.
So not very clear.
 
Employment details

Kota, congrats on getting your visa approved.

In my case, I can only say that the officers were negligent. I used to work for a company "X" which was bought over by company "Y". My I-797 was issued with "X"'s name on it and now I am applying for visa while working for "Y". Company "Y" gave us an official letter with attorney's signature, notary signature etc. saying "Y" takes all responsibilities for LCA of all H1 candidates of "X". The document also listed our names and LCA case numbers. I had submitted originals of this document and also clearly mentioned that I am enclosing these stuff along with other documents. After all this, today I received a visa rejection (221g) asking me which company I am currently working for "X" or "Y". This was bad.

I took another covering letter from my company and added it to the documentation and sent it back.

Anyway, do any of you guys know if there is any other forum where 221g (resubmitted the docs) people are discussing?

I know a friend whose visa was rejected for bad photograph. When he sent it back to DC (yes, u have to send to DC directly), he got approved visa in 10 days. I hope it works that way for me too. I am travelling 26th Dec.

Dec 26th means
U will definitely make it , as we do not have any fed holidays before taht time.

BTW , my passport is in hands of FEDEX and deliver by 9th evening 4:30 PM to chicago
But my flight ticket is Dec 10th morning , san jose.
So i am after FedEx to make it overnight delivery to chicago , so that i can make my travel smooth.
FEDEX people are really helpful and they are working on it.

Does any body know why it took 2-3 weeks from SL to DC? What they do in SL with all these doc and PP .. ?
We can track date for SL but how do we know that it sent out o DC and they entered their System or not?

I am more inclined to believe this lady because she seemed honest and her statments were in line with the updates on this forum. There have been a bunch of revalidations for the 25th and also 26th. It all depends on the officer you talk to. The ones that said it will take till the end of december seemed to not care at all. They did not even bother to give me the exact date of receipt. When I asked they just said end of September.

So hang in there guys. I think they should be done with the 27th this week and we should all get our passports sometime next week.

You info was really informative then D.C services. To be honest I had faced the same situation when I called to find out the status of my revalidation.

Right now looks like all I have to do is just cross my fingures , hope for the best and wait until end of december.
