Guess i am not that lucky, i called today and found out my case has not yet reached NVC from NSC. I think NSC is the slowest of all in sending cases to NVC. I hope i hear something this week or the next. Too bad if it goes into holiday season as it might be delayed further...

Operator was saying it takes about 1-1.5 months. He asked my name and birthdate too... Wonder why ???

Did you get I-140 approval notice? Once it reaches NVC then the process is not so bad.

My attorney has recd the I 140 Approval notice. I got approved on 26th Oct 2001. He got it a week after my approval. But my NVC Case is still not created yet.
 
My Packet 3 posted to consulate and attorney today.

Just now I called the NVC to check the status. The operator told that my papers have been mailed to consulate and attorney today. My I-140 approved on 10/31 and My case was created at NVC on 11/08. She didn\'t tell me when my Packet 3 was created.

Thanks Chicago Guy. Do not worry.. Yours should be there soon. Did you talk with operators in NSC? They can also tell you when your application was actually sent to NVC.
 
Chennai recieved Packet 3

What is the next step? How do i prepare I-134, packet 4 etc.. What other documents i would need? What are the things i need to keep it ready. Sorry guys, I am new to the block. Any advice would greatly appreciated.

Your dates are same as mine. For me also the operator told that the pkt3 sent on 11/27. She didn\'t even tell when it was created and also the automated message is not updated. It is still saying, we will mail your packet in 4-6 weeks.
My 140 AD is 10/31. NVC Rcvd 11/8, pkt mailed 11/27.

Shall we expect for Feb interview? To which consulate are you going? Mine is Chennai.

Call NVC at (603) 332-0700
if u call up in the morning, u should be able to talk to an operator...or else it\'ll go to AVM though you can still get the info...

Waiting for NVC case creation

Hi,
 My I-140 got approved at Nebraska Service Center (NVC) on 11/9/2001 and the case has not yet reached NVC yet as on 11/28/2001 (20 days passed). Does any one know how much time it will take for the case to reach/get created at NVC after I-140 approval?

I am planning to send the pkt3 next week, if my attorney completes the formalities by that time. Still I haven\'t got chance to talk to him. Left several voicemails...no use. I filled the draft copies. Who will send this pkt 3 to consulate? Me or lawyer?
 
Police Certificate require for Bombay CP from Jan 2002?????---serious matter.

Hi guys,
My I 140 was approved on 11/8. I got my case no from NVC. They have sent P3 to my attorney on 11/23. I am hoping interview in March. I was surfing in to few message boards for CP and I saw somebody\'s posting who confirmed that PC is required for all CP interviews from Jan 2002 when he called up Delhi consulate. Does anybody have any idea about this??? If that is the case only ways we have is to get PC from local police station in INDIA.... Pretty Serious matter

Do I need to get a police certificate for the interview?

If an applicant has only resided in India or the United States, then no police certificate is required from the Indian police or any local police authority in the United States. However, if the applicant has resided abroad since the age of 16 for periods of six months or more, then a police certificate might be required from that country, depending on which country it was. A full list of countries where police certificates are considered to be unavailable is at the National Visa Center web site.

Just ignore the rumors fox !! World\'s one of the most corrupted police -99% -have any value of that kinda police certificate ?
