NSC - August 2004 Filers

spouse EAD not yet approved

my wife's EAD is not yet approved. how long it will take?? any guess?
I thought they will approve together. Do these cases go to different CIS officers?

Jambalakadi,
What I read from this thread It happens very often, she should get her EAD soon.
Iam also waiting for mine, as of today 60 days completed. Lets hope for the best.

All,
I and my wife received emails today saying that our EAD's were approved by Sep 28th 2004. Its a good day for me.
EAD AD : Sep 28th 2004- 63 days. I will update the sheet in the other NSC only forum.
LUD changed to 09/29/2004 for both EAD's and also LUD changed as 09/29/2004 for AP but no updates yet for AP.

RFE for spouse EAD

Today the status was updated and it says rfe sent. Who will get the notice? Will it be my address or Attorneys office?

On September 28, 2004, we mailed a notice requesting additional evidence or information in this case. The notice explains in detail what additional material is needed. If you have questions about the notice, what is required, or if 14 days have passed and you have not received the notice, please call the National Customer Service Center at (800) 375-5283.

I think both you and Ur attoney should get a copy of RFE.. It might be about the photographs -- ears might be covered or something wierd of that sort.

goodl luck with that

Billtoo,
I guess atleast a week.

Jambalakadi,

Billtoo is right. May be copies are not clear or something like that. I was worried that my wife may get RFE because she did not have DL so we sent only one photo Id(VISA copy) but thanks to CIS.

Got an RFE for Colour copies last year for my first EAD. For the second one we sent all of them in advance so no RFE was generated

1) Passport -- doesn't matter how old the photo is, mine is 9 years old
2) VISA Stamp -- You will have your photgraph on the VISA stamp, thats a valid photo id too
3) State DL -- This one is also valid

This what my lawyer asked me to provide for the RFE

EAD Approval

PPl, I just wanted to pass on this good news. My 1st EAD has been approved from the VSC on Sept 28, 2004. I'm very happy.
My RD was 5/27/04 but got an RFE after almost 60 days. Refiled with RD on 8/18/04 and after almost 45 days got an approval. Still waiting for the actual card though but very happy and savoring it :) AP is still pending.
One important advice to new EAD/AP/485 applicants, send color pics/driver's id bcos that was my RFE as in most cases.

Good luck ppl.

Congrats....

Congrats KM201 and I think the tips will be useful for the future filers.
Did U get RFE on EAD, if you what was it -- photo related stuff right.

7th Year H1B extension.

I am applying for my 7th year extension today.
My h1B is expiring Oct 5th -- procastinated a lot I guess to come to this edge.

Anyway, I taked to my lawyer about it and he said that I need to submit only two documents -- I-94 and Recent pay stub.

Looks strange .. was that true with you guys too who went for extension.

Thanks

Billtoo, My guess is NSC started working on Aug filers, so you should get it in weeks time !
