Hi K12ven, our case were aproved last month which is exactly one year after our interview last year. On our approval letter it says that before they can send us the green card they might require biomatrics informations (finger print, pictures etc). At this time do not take any action, wait until to hear from us. If you do not get your green card or letter for biometrics within 90 days, call us the 800 number.

we gave our pictures/medicals during our interview last year and finger print two months before the interview.
Questions, do they need biometrics or they will send us the green card?

thx

gclord2002,

our approval letter says the same. we also gave pitures at the time of interview (7 months ago) and gave finger prints (8 months ago) but they have asked us for appear for Biometrics. I am not sure if they are asking every body to appear for biometrics or not.

I hope this helps.

Ac21 question

AC21 Question

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Can anyone tell me what kind of document one needs from the new employer after changing jobs. Does one need tax return or any financial documents from the new employer?? I got the offer letter. I am going to mail the offer letter and the change of job notification letter to the local office. I have worked for a long time time with my original employer(a lot longer than 180 days).

Hi K12ven, I finished our biometrics ON Saturday, yesterday I checked online it says

" On June 17, 2006, after approving your application, we ordered you a new card. Your card will be mailed to you as soon as it is ready"

Hopefully, we will get the physical card soon. Any idea how long?

thanks

If Greencard for everyone arrives so soon, then I think there is no hardships in the world left. But it is all a dream after all....

Interview coming up

Yes it is. As I posted before, my interview is scheduled for 7/6/06. My next challenge is to prove that my prior arrest has been expunged. The case happened over 10 years ago, and all I got from the lawyer that handled the case was just a copy of the court disposition, stamped with a big "EXPUNGED" on it. The problem is that I need a "certified copy" of the disposition. I contacted the lawyer, and he said he only retains the records for 6 years, so he doesn't have it.

I contacted the city where the incident happened, and they told me that if the case had been sealed, they could get me a copy, but since it was "expunged", there is no record of it.

Right now I plan to bring to the interview the copies that I have, and I hope that would be sufficient.

Any advice?

OK everyone - my interview is in 6 days. I plan to come to the office on Sunday and prepare all the paper work in a nice organized folder. I was able to find the certified copy of the expunge order. I have another letter from the county clerk stating my case was nolle prossed. I am still looking for the actual arrest report. If I don't find it I hope I won't need it. I am going with a lawyer, but as an avid forum reader, I sometimes feel like an expert on these matter, and that his presence won't help - but why take the chance, right?

Any last minute advice?

Thanks.

485 Approval

Hi All
We received approval notice for the Primary applicant but not the derivative, today in the mail.

Our case was transfered to NYC in Nov 2004 and then transfered back to VSC in Nov 2005.

What comes next, does anyone have any idea. The notice says not to take any action, might require to go for biometrics and we may receive a seperate notice for that. When can the primary applicant go for Stamping, please advise.

thanks
Tasneem

Interview Experience

Hi Everyone,

I had my interview in Garden City yesterday. The interview was scheduled for 7:30, both me and the lawyer got there a little after 7:00. We waited over 3 hours (!) until we were called and my lawyer indicated it was way too long, especially given that we saw people with later appointments being called before us.

The interviewer was a pleasant lady. She swore me in (the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth). She asked to see my passport and NYS ID. I gave her passport and drivers license. She asked where I work, how long I worked there (5 yrs). She looked through the passport and asked for the older passport with a visa stamp in it (my current one doesn't have a stamp). I give her the old passport and she sees my student visa (F-1). She asked if I entered on the F, I said yes, where did I go to school. I answered. Did I start working for this company immediately after school? I said no and described work history (3 companies). She then askedif I have paystubs, I handed her the original 6 months paystubs, she said do you have copies, I handed her the copies. Same with W2's and tax returns. She also asked for employer letter.

Then she started asking me the 485 questions. Have you ever commited a drug offense for which you were not arrested. No.

Have you ever been arrested? Yes. She raised her head and apeared quite surprised. She said what happened? I gave a very short description of the event. She said do you have a court disposition? I gave her the order to expunge the record and the letter from the county clerk saying the case was nolle prossed (case dismissed). She wasn't convinced that this is what she needed because it wasn't a "disposition" and said she'll have to check. My case never really got to court which is why didn't have a disposition.

She then went on with the rest of the questions ("Do you intend to overthrow the US government?" etc.). Then she left the room to check on the arrest documents that I gave her. She came back after a couple of minutes saying it was all fine.

She checked the visa bullettin to find out that my PD wasn't current, and also said my FBI name check isn't complete. She wrote something in the passport (i looked later and couldn't understand the handwriting - probably something on PD not current). She said this concludes the interview.

My lawyer said what happened when PD become current. She said the file remains there, and they will adjudicate. She said he should send in an inquiry to them when the PD becomes current and sent him to the window downstairs to pick up an inquiry form.

So I am now entering the PD waiting game and probably also the name check waiting.

Thanks for all the support from forum members. I'll keep everyone posted with any developments.

A friend of mine got a LUD today on his I-485. I have his case number on my computer. His case is similar to mine, see signature. In other hands, I got a LUD yesterday on mine I-765 that was approved last April and the card in my pocket. My wife (principal) didn`t get any LUD yet. At least VSC is showing some movements.
