to speed up 485 approval

Hello guys
you guys might be able to give me opinion on this.

My I140 has just been approved (EB1-EA, ND 10/08/03,AD 12/10/04), and I485 was transferred to NYC local office (ND 10/08/03, TD 12/10/04).
I just learned that I need 485 approval for the Federal Loan, which is required to start med school. I was wondering how efficiently NYC officers process 485 application. USCIS website is saying that now NYC office is processing Aug/2002, is it true ?? or is it case by case ??
Is there any way to pressure interview appointment/approval of I485 ??
Does letter from Senator really help??

I feel pretty pathetic these days, after living in the US over 10 years, paying all taxes ( yeah.. social security/medicare, too!), I still have this visa problem..

Thanks in advance!

jsimny: You are still a baby compared to me. I spent 14 yrs and paying taxes is a part of life. When you make money you pay some... My I 140 was approved in 2000 and I485 filed in March 2001 EB2 case. I think you should have applied as an EB2 and could have avoided the interview. Even if there is a pressure interview appntment.approval, why would we tell you just to cut off us.. :) Isn't it nice that you are asking people in line about how to cut them off . You seems pretty smart but asking some dumb questions. By the way, if there were a way, all of us would have been ontop of it. I could not go to med school myself due to the money and instead got a Ph. D (useless). Life is harsh and hard, so hang in there. We will be on your side but do not try to cut us off.. Stay in line and waite for your turn right behind us that is honrable way. No offense but wellcome to America (even after 10 yrs) you are thinking of finding the third world way to cut through... :)

tasneem: I thin shrukh khan is dating Kareen kapoor. I would like to watch Ms. Kapoor movie. Thanks for the well wishes, also throw lights on my comments for jsimny... I think he is trying to find the desi way to get his case processed.

to Jahar ali

sorry if my question sounds cutting off you guys and sorry that you had to wait for so long. I was just asking how it is processed here in NYC. don't you think your posting was little bit off the etiquette ? I felt pretty much disgusted.

Welcome to the club JSIMNY

hey you know maybe since you are an EB1 , I think you gonna get priority for interview. I have seen some EB1 cases getting letters way earlier then the rest of them. Keep your fingers crossed.

yeah it sux when we are in this country for long and paid everything on time and have excellent credit and what not but when it comes to getting a GC on time, we are standing last in the queue. well hey tell you what there is GOD up there !!

I feel that my posting was fine because you are trying to find a short cut just because yout hink you are better than others. You think there is way to pressure the USCIS/NIS, and we all are just stupid sitting here and have no one to pressure fast track. Not at all dear. It is just luck of a draw. I think your case is not old at all. I just did not like you being trying to find a way out by using special contacts. We are waiting for the help of God and that is the honorable way. Sit back relax and join the group of some unlucky people. Remember "everything happens for a reason" I used smiling faces in my post to make it sound funny instead of making sound rude but you know how in wrting things can sounds the way reader would read it. All my best wishes are with you but I can assure you if there were a shorter way out all of us would have been going that route. Newyorker is going to take of me anyway so you can now swim freely. Anyway, welcome to the club and once you know us more you will feel at home... Cheer :). I will make you like me...

hello everyone and welcome jsimny to the culb of "THE CHOSEN ONES "
unfortunately there is no way to influence the ins on getting an interview . i have a very good friend who handles the refugee based 485 and works for the ins he also could not do anything for me just that he saw my case was in the system . if you r not a 245(i) case you should recieve it within 4 months the appointment letter.we all have problems and waiting for the gc to solve it but as johar said lets just pray to god to get us out of this
" HAI AGAR DOOR MANZIL TO KYA ,RAASTA BHI HO MUSHKIL TO KYA "
LEKIN HUM MANZIL KO PA LAYGEH

Aur Joharji :) Gussa Kartey Ho Aur Phir You Just Post A Smiley Face Wah Kya Style Hai Pls Ins Officer Key Saamney :) Yehi Face Lekar Jaana.
Anyways Yesterday I Had Gone To See "bombay Dreams" It Is Great Show And This Is The Last Week For It Pls Don't Miss It U Can Get Discounted Tickets Online. :)

Tasneem: Thanks, but I still think no ne should go or try to go through the back door. It should be made illegal to even look for a back door. Do you think it will be not be illegal if some one is planing to blow up a building or kill some one. SO the under the same article finding a back door to accomplish anytyhing should be illegal and I have every single right to criticize what is wrong. I do believe in justice and I think we all should just waite in line for our lucky turn. Let the system take care of you and us. One of the reason I came to this country is because the system is transparant and there are few back doors and when some one from our part of the wrold try to break in, I get upset adn thus posted my opinion. I am entitled to my opinion. You all might disagree now but in the eyes of law I am right . Even deep down you all know this.. that finding or going through back doors is not the right way. We are all the chosen one's and need sympathies but go ahead and give it a second thought. I am not trying to hurt any bodies feelings but the truth is always harsh but some one has to say it. Justice for all not for for one. Have a good one :).

Coldfusion, thanks in advance. Will be waiting for oyur post as much as for I485 approval..

Array joharbhai, Apna bhi same haal hai aap ke jaisa

Mine is not a family based- mere aise naseeb kahan...
Mine is plain and cruel EB3-Employment Based yaar, with an RD of Jan 03 and transfer date of 07/19/04 to NYC local.

To apun to bolta hai ke pressure lene se kya fayda. Apni hi waat lag jayegi pressure lene se, to Mamu phikar not , Khuda bahut bada badshah hai , sab sahi ho jayega... Kya bolte hai aap johar bhai
