Interview : Transferred to HARTFORD, Connecticut

my case got transferred to hartford......very bad luck.....is there any way we can expedite the process of this sloppy hartford office?
 
Guys, I need to file my EAD too....Where do you file EAD when your case gets transferred?
 
You can file it at HArtford they will transfer it onto MSC as they no longer deal with EAD it was taking around 4 months when I filed April 04 approval was Sept/04

My case was transferred to Hartford in September 2004. My initial case was filed in March 2001 and approved in december 2001. I had few questions and will appreciate if someone can address them.
Whats the best number to call Hartford office?
Is there a website for Hartford office?
Is there separate waiting list posting for Hartford office

you can make an infopass appt and go and ask them your questions. There is no number I believe.
 
Is this a bad joke or a nightmare?

My case was transferred from VSC on 6/18/04!

Have made two inquiries through National 800# but no response so far!

I140 approved 5/2003
I485 ND 10/7/2002
Third EAD renewal 9/2004 no luck yet!

Four time finger printed!!! Last three in 4 months!
I am waiting to get an EAD renewd at Hartford. Do they give temporary EAD before 90 days? What are the chances?

Any one here has been lucky to get temporary EAD before 90 days at Hartford? What is the process? Do they respond to congressman/senator's inquiry? Does it benefit?

What do the empoyer do if your EAD expires? Can they fire you? Do you have any legal rights?

What happens if you change your job to New York under AC21?

Hartford shows processing date as 02/01/2004, is this original receipt date or transfer date?
 
OK 1st of all no them processing dates do not count but info coming out of Hartford is it is taking 1 year from them receiving your case.
its no good sending an enquiry into USCIS they will just come back with what you already know that your case was transferred.
A senators enquiry will just come back with what I told you 1st off
not sure about a temp ID not that I know of. but I know after 90 days you can go for an IEAD we filed in April and it took 4 months. I know that when you ead expires you are not allowed to work but alot of feedback in here have to stop work unpaid until they receive it. (but the high cost of living in this state how can we afford to do that) :(

if you move to new york you move out of this district area and your case will be transferred again into NY office.
 
Hartford Transfer

Today again I went to Hartforf INS office to enquire about my case. The Officer told me the same story. They are going to schedule my case next year 2005.

when in next year? that's the question. I am going to Hartford next week. How can I make sure that my case is already there? If I ask them, will they give an answer when it came to hartford? Also, do you guys have any idea what happens if if change my address again and stay in CT? I know there is a chance of mailing my interview letter to my old address, but do the attorneys get a copy of the interview letter? Thanks.

Guess what? today I got a mail from INS Hartford regarding Interview. My interview is scheduled on Dec.

So keep hope alive

Congrats to you I guess poking around in HArtford finally pushed them to move on your case good for you. I know that they are telling everyone 1 year which it was when my stupid case got transferred but I know they are picking up in no particular pattern.

Great News

That is great news coming out of Hartford. At least someone will be happy for the holidays which gives the rest of us hope. Let's keep praying and trusting. It will be nice for us all to be able to post that good news. :)
 
Janannwill, I saw your previous post mentioning that your file came to Hartford in 7 days. Did you ask a immigration officer in Hartford about this ot got mail about this? Mine was transferred to hartford 11/23, but did not get any mail yet. Thanks.
 
I went to Hartford and spoke to an immigration officer. She checked the computer and gave me that information. I did not receive an email.
