Good morning, submission of RFE documents does not require a signature anywhere, correct? Just a copy of the RFE + documents.
Dear Mom and all, I am excited to join the community and in advance appreciate all the shared wisdom. I just started assembling my package and have a few questions (can’t thank enough for the process spreadsheet!).
1. My birth certificate is presented like a passport book. Is it important to photocopy and translate the front and back cover pages? Or is it similar to a passport, and the cover does not matter?
2. Every printed field label in my birth certificate (e.g. words "name", "location", "date", "parent") is presented in two languages. The handwritten filled-in content is in one language only (e.g. my name, city of birth etc.). The English translation I received looks noticeably sparser and includes fewer words than the bilingual original.
Should the translator repeat the translated content twice to match the original bilingual word count (this seems a bit silly)? Should they, in their certification note, explicitly explain that fields are duplicated in two languages? Or is it a non-issue and I’m over-thinking?
The RFE does not mention that this is needed, where do you have this information from?normally you need to have a cover page where you write about the attached evidence and how it address the RFE
please google should I include cover letter on RFE and if you still need assistance, let us knowThe RFE does not mention that this is needed, where do you have this information from?
Thank you. Yes I see it can be beneficial for complex responses but it’s not mandatory.please google should I include cover letter on RFE and if you still need assistance, let us know

Have you received the actual RFE that was mailed out to you? The mailed out version will include instructions for how to submit the documents in response to the RFE. So follow the instructions on the official version of what you receive.Thank you. Yes I see it can be beneficial for complex responses but it’s not mandatory.

1. Err on the side of caution. Copy and translate both the front and back pages is there's anything written on them.Dear Mom and all, I am excited to join the community and in advance appreciate all the shared wisdom. Typically transferred as soon as the NBC schedules or waives the Bio appointment.Hi all. What is the usual timeframe for NBC to transfer case to the FO?
Thank you. I've learned today that my case is still at the NBC (or at least Emma agent says so). Is that a reason to be concerned?Typically transferred as soon as the NBC schedules or waives the Bio appointment.
That is a standard response which should not be relied on. If you check tomorrow or a couple of days later, you could be told the FO already received your case file a couple of weeks ago.Thank you. If they filed in July and only recently received a response, it means their application was denied, and not “rejected”. Their package will not be returned in that case. Difference between package rejection and case denial is covered in the AOS process spreadsheet.Dear Mom,
Hope you are doing well. A family from Ukraine with excellent case number (2025EUX7) hired an attorney that sent their 2025 DV documents in July (obviously incompetent attorney). They recently received rejection letter stating that they filed too early. Can you please let me know if their documents will be returned (especially medical envelopes) or USCIS doesn't return their package?
Thanks in advance
